Life without air conditioning: It IS possible to survive! {WalletPop}
Jul 10th 2008 3:36PM Here in Fresno where it's 108 today, I don't think it's possible to go without air conditioning altogether, but it's certainly possible to cut the power bill using these tips. Thanks!
Used car madness- overpaying for a high mpg ride could cost you thousands {WalletPop}
Jul 3rd 2008 12:03PM Both my cars are paid for and people still ask why I drive my truck. Well.... because it's paid for! Why would I save $100 on gas a month only to pay $500 more for a payment?

Kinko's joins the list of business names that are no more {WalletPop}
Jun 3rd 2008 4:30PM I think FedEx is screwing up. Nobody ever says they are going to FedEx. They still say "Kinko's". And FedEx Office? Who wants to go to the freaking "Office"?? "Kinko's" sounds almost fun.
It's also going to screw up thier web searches. Do a search for FedEx today and it's all about packages and the FedEx corportion, nothing about the Kinko's stores.

Doh! Battery leakage hurts GM hybrid production {Autoblog}
Jun 3rd 2008 10:46AM I think hybrids are generally a joke, especially American hybrids. The Toyota Prius gets only around 35mpg in real world use. Very good, but it certainly does not live up to the hybrid hype. American hybrids get only a few miles more per gallon, which tells me that it's nothing more than a marketing scam to cash in on the "green" trend.
Forget all this hybrid nonsense. If you want really efficient cars, you have to lower the weight. Until Americans suck it up and start living with smaller, lighter cars, we aren't going to make any kind of impact on oil consumption or pollution.

May 22nd 2008 10:12AM Looks like a lot of those robots are just standing there with nothing to do. I bet the Japanese use half that many robots and they get twice the production out of them!
