Oct 8th 2008 3:25PM No Challenger Convertible is a good thing. What Chrylser/Dodge needs to do is fix the Sebring first and that Convertible which is a regular seller. You have the Muscle Car for the Guys now you just need the Two Seat Convertible Coupe for what they use to call the Secretary Market.

Sep 20th 2008 8:09PM I love the idea of Mercury being near luxury. I am more in love with the idea of tech tripping it out. Make GPS Navigation standard on all Mercurys. Sync2.0 also standard. Why? Value. The GPS system on Mercury and Lincolns has been highly praised in the press as well as Sync. Justify the extra money you charge on Mercurys over Fords. It's a quick fix that won't set any fires on the sales charts but it's value the dealers can use now in ads.
Build interest now and get the name on people's shopping list then when the new cars roll onto the lots the buyers will be ready. If they wait til the new products arrive it'll take the shoppers that much longer to put Mercury back on the sales list.

Sep 19th 2008 3:48PM At first glance it looks Mercury/Lincoln-esque. I miss the Buick names of lore. Where is my Skylark and Regal. The Lacrosse be damned I want the Regal. Now GM isn't bringing back the El Camino? I'm glad Checy stuck with the Malibu but I wonder why the Cruise instead of Cobalt or Cavaliar? Too many name changes over at GM. And...What marketing bonehead decided all cars needed to only have letters and numbers for cars?

Sep 18th 2008 11:43AM The styling is boring but I can see why GM is doing this. Two reasons 1. CAFE standards. 2. They think if they have a small car they can hook the youngsters and eventually they'll develop brand loyalty and buy the bigger Pont's as they grow older. Of course reason number two has been proven over and over again to be wrong people don't always trade in for the same brand. Consumer loyalty is dead. GM should have waited till they had something exciting for the brand with good fuel economy. This car will have small sales and eventually just be sold to fleets. Feel the excitement on your next vacation rental car!

Sep 8th 2008 3:34PM The answer to the question: What would you get if you took a Prius and chopped the front end and rear end off and put on the Chevy Cobalt's parts on it? Of course that was the question no one really wanted an answer on.
I know that Hybrid versions of the Malibu, Accord and Camry don't sell as well as the hybrid only models but must all three of them be penned the same?
