The World of Rare Food: Bird's Nest Soup {Luxist}
Jan 30th 2008 9:17AM I used to have this a few times a year back in Taiwan. Sure there's the "whoa I'm eating expensive stuff!" but I'll be damned if it didn't taste like crap.

Nov 17th 2007 4:24PM Priusguy, BMW claims an M5 with its speed limiter removed can hit 330, so my guess is that performance is somewhat reduced in favour of economy and emissions, which is commendable. Not like it ain't fast enough anyways.
Mercedes-Benz buys back and closes 29 Maybach dealers {Autoblog}
Oct 23rd 2007 1:34PM There is no doubt in my mind that the Maybach is a wonderful car. However, the reason it did not sell is that it is competing with none other than Rolls-Royce. Its brand recognition among its potential buyers is unrivaled, and its understated elegance and retro elements make the 57 and 62 seem ugly and unwieldy. There is simply nothing that can touch a Rolls-Royce Phantom in pure luxury right now in my opinion. Maybach should count itself lucky just to have sold 164

First official pics of Nissan GT-R? {Autoblog}
Oct 6th 2007 5:48PM I'm going to go against what seems to be the consensus here and say this: I thing this thing is downright ugly. Out of the three redesigns(Subaru Impreza, Nissan GT-R, Mitsubishi Lancer), it seems to me like only Mitsubishi got it right. Make no mistake, I'd kill to drive one, but I really think the "sleeper" look of the R32-34 should not have been ditched.
2008 BMW M3 Sedan unveiled! {Autoblog}
Oct 6th 2007 7:24AM They just stuck an E92 front onto a sedan...
that said, pity they didn't do away with the E90 altogether and just find space for two more doors somewhere. The rear-end of the E90 is an aesthetic disaster. Does anyone think it looks like someone took an ordinary car rear and just.. kinda squashed it in?
