Feb 28th 2006 4:07PM this concept is no 9x. it's a same really. here's a couple of my beefs. the proportions of this car are waaaay suspect for anything deeming itself to be Swedish or scandinavian modern. second, the new grill design, which was creative and well thought out in the 9x concept, is now way WAY detached from the now iconic saab grill. I cannot make myself like that huge center grill stack. all in all, i fail see what's so Swedish about this car. to me, it's more American than Swede, let alone being deemed scandinavian modern. Finally, there's nothing really innovative about this concept. it's all flash without any real substance. this car represents everything that is wrong with modern car 'stylists' - flash over substance. i miss Michael Mauer.
