Detroit '08 Preview: Toyota A-BAT hybrid pickup concept {Autoblog}

Dec 27th 2007 9:35PM I'm with you. I'm not completely sold on the styling, and the interior's got to go, but the idea is solid.. And like it or not, smaller, more efficient, and ultimately more practical trucks are the future.

Cost of owning a car crests $1/mile on some models {Autoblog}

Dec 8th 2007 10:36AM I'm sure I've lost less than $7K on my prius which I've owned for 18 months. Purchase price was $23K + $1500 tax, federal rebate = $2k, state rebate = $600.. net = 21,900.

Cost of insurance = about $1300
Cost of fuel = about $1300
Misc. = $200

Blue book for private party is about $19,500.

Cost for 18 months of ownership is $4.2k, 17 cents/mile.

Toyota Camry Hybrid review: not so hot {Autoblog Green}

Jul 3rd 2006 9:05AM As a prius owner, I must say that if the reviewer found the current prius to be overly noticeable when changing modes (elec/gas/etc) I don't put much faith in the rest of this review. I recently had a loner camry (non-hybrid) and the auto tranny was so clunky when in city traffic going in and out of second that I couldn't wait to have the smooth-as-silk prius back.

And of course it's not a barn burner, it's tuned for efficiency, and why on earth would one compare it to a lexus?
