Chrysler's financial arm no longer offering leases {Autoblog}

Jul 25th 2008 5:58PM The cars that lease the best are the ones that hold their value the most. Typically luxury cars are the ones that lease the best. Thats why you could always get a deal on them. You put money down and you pay that monthly payment for the years of term and ends up being more than what the car is worth. Then they get sold at an auction at the turn in. Thats how they make the money back. But regular cars like toyota, GM, ford, Mazda, Honda, only hold their vaule for so long so their is more of a risk involved. So typically your better off buying them in most cases if you like to hold on to your car for a while.

GM allows workers to offer discounts to everyone {Autoblog}

Jul 25th 2008 3:31PM I got over 5 grand off my CTS last April by using my dads pin code. If I would have got an Escalade I would have got 9 grand off the sticker. This was all before Cadillac was offering any rebates on their cars. If you know someone who can give you a pin code, I would definetly take it.

GM's OnStar will track your annual mileage... but only for your benefit {Autoblog}

Jul 24th 2008 4:22PM on most GM cars the Onstar box is located in the truck under the carpet. You can always unplug it. People do it all the time

One MPG is not enough: Automakers desperate to make a gallon go further {Autoblog}

Jul 22nd 2008 10:41AM @ PV

Are you forgetting that Bob Lutz is the one who gave us the CTS, G8, Solstice, Malibu etc. He is the one who has improved the quality and gave us great new product. The delaying of the cruze is related to cash flow and partly because maybe they don't want to rush it and make sure it is as good as it can be when it does finallt get here. The Beat, well it doesn't exactly meet our US safety standards. A total redesign might have to be made to make it road legal. If they brought it over here as is, the critics would hammer it for not being safe.

One MPG is not enough: Automakers desperate to make a gallon go further {Autoblog}

Jul 22nd 2008 9:46AM With the new strict CAFE standards, automakers have to spend more money on technologies to increase the fuel economy. Its great to consume less gas but the major downward will be that future cars will COST MORE. And and I know it has ruined alot of future product that auto enthusiasts were looking forward too.(RWD Impala ex.) I stress this again, would the government please stay out of the auto industry. This is supposed to be a free market. If consumers need fuel efficient cars, then its their responsibility to buy an efficient car.

Rendered Speculation: V8-powered BMW Z4 hardtop {Autoblog}

Jul 21st 2008 7:25PM I still can't get into high reving engines. I like my power down low. High rev engines work well on a track, but the torque monster V8s work wonderfully in and around town.

2010 Chevy Camaro - Official Details and Images {Autoblog}

Jul 21st 2008 4:49PM I don't think the price will be 40k for the SS. When the GTO was out the price was only 30k

I want one bad but I don't think I ever will. I'm on my second CTS now. (the 08 300hp DI). I just can't step down from luxury. I have full confidence in the quality but I love luxury.

2010 Chevy Camaro unveiling LIVE {Autoblog}

Jul 21st 2008 4:23PM You may have heard that when the concept first out about 2.5 years ago. The EPA has changed the way they do the estimates now. Their were alot of cars that suppposely got 30 mpg but didn't. And the old estimate for the Prius was 62 mpg. Now its down to 41 mpg. Big drop!

Well despite $4.00 a gallon gas, there is still a market for large RWD cars. There will always be one. Its American muscle! When the Charger and the 300C came out they were instant hits. Back then people were complaining about $3.00 a gallon gas, but people still bought one. Bottom line is that if you want over 30 mpg, stick with your ecoboxes.

GM's Plan: Small cars making a big profit {Autoblog}

Jul 21st 2008 10:54AM The colbalt wasn't really a terrible car. It was just ugly and bland as hell looking. But with the cruze coming, I do see it turning around. If they can make anything like the new Malibu but in a smaller package, it should turn out well. But the thing is all about customers mindsets about American cars. I think even when Ford brings all their Euro cars over people still won't buy them. Its a shame really. We get the Opels here now as Saturn and soon euro Fords, all are some of the best in europe. Its so hard to convince alot of "frugal", "buy japanese only buyers" that American cars are good.

Is it over yet? Oil prices drop like a rock {Autoblog}

Jul 19th 2008 1:23PM $4.00 will be the norm soon. Everyone bitched when it got to $2 but we all adjusted. Then when the bad hurricane season it and spiked to the just over over $3 mark. Then they gave us a little relief for a little while because we bitched again. Now that we have reached the $4 mark, they are giving us the little relief just before $4 becomes the norm.

We need to get off this foreign oil as soon as possible. Lets use the technology that we already have. BIODEISEL and ETHANOL for large cars and trucks.(already lots of cars on the road already) HYDROGEN for the small economy cars.

Please NO comments about biofuels driving up food prices. Oil companys already push that to much on us. I would rather my money go to the american farmers than to some foreign country. Plus we don't have to use corn for it all. Cellulostic ethanol is already a reality.
