Chicago 2008: Ford introduces Work Solutions in-dash computer package for F-150 [w/VIDEO] {Autoblog}

Feb 6th 2008 2:26AM Love this feature but I'm surprised Ford didn't simply add a ethernet connection hidden somewhere under the dash so person could plug in there laptop and use its keyboard and much larger screen(a 6.5 inch screen is too tiny for real use I find) to connect to the internet and take advantage of the Sprint EVDO feature. Everything else is wonderful especially the tracking feature.

Chicago 2008: 2009 Chevy Traverse makes it a Lambda superfecta {Autoblog}

Feb 6th 2008 2:11AM Most customers(90%) can't tell that all four Lambda crossovers share the same platform, heck my sister and her husband almost bought a Saturn Outlook(even though they really wanted a Enclave), and couldn't tell that GMC Acadia across the street was essentially the same vehicle. The differnces may only be skin deep, but everyone that isn't a car buff can't tell or could care less about the similarites.

BTW whats with Cheverolets rear end designs recently, the Malibu, Cobalt, Aveo hatch(actually this one is just fugly to begin with) and now the Traverse share good looking front ends and decent profiles with rear ends and tailights that look like afterthoughts.

YES! 3.2 Roadster is coming to North America {Autoblog}

Jan 28th 2008 5:02PM Lovely car but whats with the gas cap being on the hood? Its gonna be a bitch bending over and to not scratch or spill gas on your car.

Top Gear totally smitten with Nissan GT-R {Autoblog}

Dec 27th 2007 2:56PM If i'm not mistaken, Insideline realseased this same article a couple weeks ago(by the same writer), only it didn't mention the Stig.

Inside Line performance tests the Nissan GT-R. Oh yes, it's very fast. {Autoblog}

Dec 20th 2007 2:59AM I think the most impressive thing about these numbers is that 0-60 in 3.3 seconds comes from a deadstart, companies usually register their 0-60 times with a rolling start(as does magazines like Motortrend and Car and Driver). So I guess Nissan is downplaying the level of performance from the GT-R like it did with a the R34 Skyline(manufactured times were given at 5.5 seconds at first when indeed the car usually posted around 4.7 second 0-60 times).

Dec 19th 2007 12:09PM I think people should just be happy that every manufacturer is raising the bar in terms of level of performance and each one is sweating the details more than ever. Atleast there not trying to sell us Ferrari 348's anymore.

Dec 19th 2007 11:32AM I think the point everyone is missing is that the Nissan GT-R stacks up pretty well or better than the competition, and performance aside people usually have chosen the car they want(especially around $70,000 and above) long before they ever really drive the vehicle. Most people that shop for a Z06 or Viper aren't looking at a GT-R, or people shopping for a M6 or 911 wouldn't buy a Noble. People who purchase cars for this amount of money aren't doing it based or logical thinking(or even comparing performance specs), its nice to know your car is fast, but most people know they can't ring out every ounce of performance out of their vehicle anyways(or the amount of douches driving SL55's and M3's that don't even know anything about their cars).

People buy ridicolous performance cars out of love not numbers. Seriously people, even with the endless amount of bickering over performance the number of Vette, Porche or Viper owners that would trade in their car for a GT-R or vice versa is probably 0. In total we'd probably swayed a total of 10 people(in the whole world) that could actually afford any of those cars to spend there money on any other car because most people have already made up their mind.

My uncle drives a SL600 and he wouldn't trade it for any car in the world, so it doens't matter how fast any of those for the same money are.

BTW: Has anyone ever tried driving a drag car for a extended drive, comparing these two kinds of cars is ridicolous. People who build drag cars love drag cars(and love building them), the guy who owns one would never think twice about buying a GT-R people.

Also I've been in a Noble and those cars demand a very talented driver who can really drive or else it really putters along. The bald guy at the local car club who drives one sure looks tough but he can barely manage the clutch without looking like a ass. Plus it sounds like turbo'd civic with a poor aftermarket exhaust, its so friggin loud.

Canada standardizes electronic stability control naming {Autoblog}

Nov 4th 2007 7:05PM This is great for all the people whom have no idea what all these acronyms mean, too bad all the different stability control units aren't on par with that of GM's stabillitrak. The VSC's unit on my moms Camry, and my own G35 suck, compared too the unit on my dads CTS. When the VSC starts working in the Camry, it feel like the steering column is being dislodged from the engine, and sounds like the chassis just bent. The G35 isn't much better, the light goes flashing and the sound of brakes clamping engulfs the cabin. The CTS on the other hand directs you where to go, safely, quietly and peacefully.

But wait, there's more! Nissan GT-R at the 'Ring, gunning for the Carrera GT {Autoblog}

Sep 26th 2007 1:55AM For all the speculating, comparisons and outright complaining everyone has made about the Nissan GT-R, EVERYONE has to realize that people who purchase this car or any car in this segment aren't going to buy it because they are thinking rationally. Anyone who wants to buy a GT-R, Corvette, or Porsche is buying the car because the can and out of desire. Comparing about interiors, weight, looks or even the manufacturer means nothing because this type of transportation isn't purchased out or rationality but pure enjoyment. Any car of this type is just a grown mans toy, and who cares what anyone else thinks about it, all that matters is that the owner is happy with their purchase.

Nissan GT-R microsite launches {Autoblog}

Sep 26th 2007 1:44AM lol I already beat you in the selling organs department, too bad they only offered $40,000 for my kidney...But since I live in Canada the GT-R will cost like $300,000.

Accepting bids for left testicle on EBAY now...
