Tragedy at LeMons: Send love and a little bit more {Autoblog}

May 13th 2008 2:10PM Bummer. We are not supposed to die while participating in a racing spoof of racing. But it just proves the point that racing of any kind has its ultimate hazards. I love watching racing, and I always hope for the best when there is a bad incident. My first meaningful racing moment was hearing over the radio that Bill Vukovich had gone over the outside wall at Indy and had been killed. I was less than 10 years old and living in California at the time.

Officially Official: New Ferrari California exposed! {Autoblog}

May 13th 2008 11:50AM ChaoZ, you have a good point. Most Ferraris probably do live in California. I believe it is mostly because of the consistently warm, dry weather that provides golden opportunities to mingle with really attractive women who are drawn to exotic cars like politicians to "free" money.

Officially Official: New Ferrari California exposed! {Autoblog}

May 13th 2008 11:40AM How can Ferrari name a car California when it is well known that California hates cars? Life is an amazing journey with or without fossil fuels. Personally I prefer making the journey using fossil fuels.

It's happened: Boy hit by hybrid, mom blames quiet running {Autoblog}

May 8th 2008 3:30PM I have developed a real animosity towards kids anymore because the prevailing attitude is that it is up to the driver of a motor vehicle to look out for them. Excuse me - it is up to the kid to do the best he can to look out for his own safety, or the kid will become a statistic. It is up to the driver to look out for the safety of others, but it is expecting too much to ask drivers to look out for the safety of kids and adults who are not looking out for themselves.

Greenpeace: Carbon capture is not going to save our climate {Autoblog Green}

May 8th 2008 10:02AM Nothing will save our climate but our climate. Our climate is in the climate saving business and knows best what it needs to save itself. The more we muck around trying to save the climate the more the climate will become screwed up. Just ask yourself what any government has done to save anything other than themselves, and now we want to put climate management into the hands of government? You must be kidding. I would rather take my chances with climate change than give government a mandate to manage the climate. I heard last week that some one is forecasting a 15 year NATURAL cooling trend. So why can't we also have a NATURAL warming trend. We have way too many people with not enough to do, so these same people with not enough to do go around mucking up the lives of countless millions of people in the name of whatever cause these limp wristed lame brains are pushing on any given day. You may choose to disagree with my rant, but I just don't care about you disagreeing with me. My one regret is that I won't live long enough to learn I am right.

California law proposes ban on lap pets in car {Autoblog}

May 7th 2008 4:09PM I can understand banning lap dancing while driving, but I struggle with the idea that having a pet in your lap is more distracting than talking on cell phones, text messaging, ad nauseum. How about we make all of the above a capitol offence with deportation to Mexico as the punishment. Of course deportation will be a temporary punishments since there is little or nothing to prevent the deportee from returning home within days of being deported. Just ask your local illegal immigrant criminal type if you need confirmation of the concept.

Dodge Challenger SRT8 sports G-meter, built-in 0-60 timer {Autoblog}

May 7th 2008 12:48PM Many years ago a Mercedes factory representative responded to criticism that Mercedes cars pulled low skid pad numbers by saying that if a driver is pulling high g on public roads that a major "off" is what will likely be in that driver's future.

VIDEO: Nick Heidfeld breaks BMW Sauber F1 car while showing off {Autoblog}

May 6th 2008 6:00PM To hell with doing donuts in a parking lot. Send Nick back to the 'Ring and turn him loose. We need a new ultimate track record to ooh and aah over.

Your oil dollars at work - $9.8 million license plate auction in the UAE {Autoblog}

May 6th 2008 1:34PM Zane, thank you, and I have never heard of Shirley Phelps, so she must not be a friend of mine. It is great sport tweaking fellow Autoblog participants just to see what responses can be generated. I find that telling the truth about things causes the most negative responses. Whoa!

Your oil dollars at work - $9.8 million license plate auction in the UAE {Autoblog}

May 6th 2008 12:57PM dj, near as I can tell the rest of the world despises us almost all of the time because we are us. I don't care if the rest of the world likes us.
Much of the rest of the world is controlled by thug dictatorships who, by their very nature, will not like us.
