GM finds short-term solution to American Axle strike {Autoblog}
Apr 1st 2008 10:45AM market forces are as real as the laws of physics. Businesses are pressured to make money. Employees are pressured to make money. And discerning consumers want to get what they pay for.
Seeing how these jobs do not require a lot of education, there are plenty of people in other parts of the world who are willing to work harder for less pay. There is no way around it.
In this economy, you better specialize, or your job will get shipped elsewhere. It even applies in medicine, which is the field I am going into. Radiology is a specialty that is arleady seeing jobs being outsourced. Since looking at X-Rays and CT images doesn't require you to be actually in the US, there are some hospitals that use indian doctors to look at X-rays for them.

Feb 12th 2008 2:15PM I am moving to the nation that first implements this idea. I am sick and tired of idiots who cut me off while driving 20 mph faster than me in rush hour traffic, only to come to a stop at the next light because they can't comprehend that light patterns are the same every day.
2009 Hyundai Sonata gets big bump in price {Autoblog}
Feb 7th 2008 4:12PM You are only comparing the MSRP price. But Hyundais are usually sold with thousands of dollars worth of rebates tacked on, whereas Toyota and Honda are usually sold at around MSRP.
Traveler shares harrowing account of China's deadly ice storm {Autoblog}
Feb 4th 2008 9:59AM There are always those among us that takes pleasure at laughing at other people's misfortunes. It doesn't matter if its China or the US, or India, or even a pacifist country like Canada.
The difference is, if you are in the Country like the US, it makes a lot of sense to laugh at the rest of the world. We live in the most powerful nation on earth! And we all know that great empires never fall.

Jan 25th 2008 3:32PM China's economy is growing faster than any other economy in the history of the world.
So that means you guys better brush up on pronouncing chinese last names. i.e. you'll be saying "Yes Mr. Yang, I'll have that on your desk first thing in the morning" sooner than you think. =)
Chery to delay exports to Europe {Autoblog}
Jan 7th 2008 11:08AM I commute through the poor neighborhoods of north philadelphia everyday, and the nice cars I see are usually Cadillacs. Why? because when these people grew up, the rich folks they saw drove Caddys. These are folks with a mindset stuck in the past.
Most of you guys aren't stinkin rich right now, and when you do save up your money, you will probably buy products that you've seen associated with status during your earlier years. So while the best cars made 40 years from now probably won't be a bmw/mercedes/acura/lexus, that is what most of you will buy.
Me on the other hand, will be driving my luxury hydrogen fuel cell car made by _____ (insert car brand based in india/china) in the year 2040, doing 0-60 in 2 seconds, that goes 100k miles between tunups.
Laugh now at chery guys, keep on laughing.
Hyundai Coupe fully undisguised! {Autoblog}
Nov 8th 2007 3:46PM I am going to be in the market for a new car in late 2008/2009. so the timing of the release of this car will be perfect! heh I convinced my parents to buy an 2006 azera for themselves and they loved it! they were only considering the camry/avalon at first, but when they saw the azera, they fell in love with it. We've had the azera for almost 1 year now and its been a very nice car no complaints, but the mileage could be better(versus the avalon, which is around 2mpg better). I hope this hyundai coupe's engine will be as efficient as something toyota/honda might offer

Oct 11th 2007 8:52AM any third world country can make crappy products cheaper and import them to the US.
the reason why chinese products are widely imported and sold in all department stores from walmart to macys, is because china makes things cheaper but better than all the other third world countries. Of course they are prone to mistakes, but even some of the products made in the US are bad for health.
Just give the chinese auto industry a few years. I am sure they will suprise you.
