Sam Hubinette's Lamborghini LP-560 drifting video {Autoblog}
May 22nd 2008 4:52AM to prove my point there, the FIRST thing Ferrari made public of it's new California, before any picture, was the sound of the engine being revved like the driver's hair was on fire.

May 22nd 2008 4:50AM Basically they're picturing Gallardo aquirers as attention-whoring d-bags, which means that if you want one because you LIKE it and want to honestly DRIVE it without all the attention thing, you're screwed.
Someone at Audi marketing needs to be shot. I can't believe an Italian would make this vid and not let us hear ONE note from that rolling orgasm of an engine.
Ferrari California in crazy colors, plus more official detail shots {Autoblog}
May 22nd 2008 4:03AM considering it was Pininfarina himself who designed the original California, before Scaglietti even made it a droptop, what do you think would have happened if they had given the job to anyone BUT him?
Imagine if in 2020 someone in hollywood bought the rights to make Star Wars VII, but hired Tim Burton to do it. The result would probably be a good movie, but you're not guaranteed to have the same soul as the others.
Supercar designs in general are either love or hate, because you cant stay in the supercar business by "playing it safe" design-wise
Some design cues on this new California can of course be object of debate, like the weird exhausts and the led cluster, but you can't say this car isn't true to Ferrari's design...it's like saying you know a child better than their parent does.

Alfa Romeo confirms SUV for 2010 {Autoblog}
May 21st 2008 1:39PM huh? EVERY DAMN manufacturer out there has (annoyingly) an SUV in their lineup, with rare exceptions
If BMW and Audi can, why can't Alfa? At least we'll have a few SUVs on the road that don't look like giant fridges or hippos on wheels.
Porsche exec denies small SUV development, two-door Panamera {Autoblog}
May 19th 2008 12:48PM so..if they make a two door panamera, what will be the point of it? a Turbo with more rear legroom?

May 19th 2008 2:47AM I've seen a documentary about how the 599 is built..every single engine component is basically checked once by a specialized technician, then checked again with lasers and a computer, and then checked a third time while running inside the engine. They're like maniacal in how they assemble it. And while it is very disappointing that it would STILL burst into flames, at idle, I'd be curious to know how often that happens to other cars with that size of engine. A 599 burning is interesting and always ends into the news, but nobody really cares if an AMG Merc does.
Fiat considering plant in Mexico {Autoblog}
May 13th 2008 4:26PM Fiat's reliability on many models is already better than VW's, but I don't see anyone going "Fix it again, Helmut" on posts about VW...
Seriously, get out of 20th century stereotypes :P
