Sen. McCain proposes $300m prize for a better battery {Autoblog}

Jun 23rd 2008 2:56PM "put up, or shut up" .. John McCain should put up $300 million of his own funds for this (if he has it after his bankrupt campaign). It is real easy to make suggestions like this when you don't have to pay the bill. This type of funding already exists in the market-place, we do not need more federal money being tossed around.

Also, Brazil sources most of it's ethanol from sugar in a far more efficient manner than we do with corn, so they are in a much better situation. Maybe we can end our insane 'war on drugs' and consider the use of hemp here in the U.S.

G8 nations ask for more oil, pledge to use less {Autoblog}

Jun 9th 2008 7:07PM A little something to think about here:

It's worth considering that we may have a massive oil supply on U.S. land sitting there already drilled and capped that natural gas has to be pumped back into to keep it from escaping.

eBay Find of the Day: 1983 Chevy Celebrity Eurosport Dragster {Autoblog}

Jun 5th 2008 3:07PM Yes, well production ended in 1989 and 1990 was the first year for the Lumina, it's successor. I think dealers just used the 89 literature for anything sold in 1990 because I've never been able to find a 1990 dealer brochure.

That is correct about the L4, they are quite uncommon though.

Jun 5th 2008 2:10PM The body base may be an 83, but the ground effects, grill, headlights/header panel are all from the "Eurosport VR" which was made in 87 and 88. The Celebrity ended life in 1989 as a 3.1L Wagon.

Nearly 100 cars sink in Daytona Beach sand {Autoblog}

Jun 2nd 2008 4:04PM They are likely pushing their car towards the wetter more compacted sand. When you're driving a car not equipped for sand travel on a beach that is where you should stay, not go off into the dry powder. That is usually why they get stuck on beaches, people who do not live near beaches do not realize this and get stuck...often.

May 13th 2008 1:11PM If you wish to feed your pet(s) real food, I highly suggest Dr. Pircairn's book.

http://www.amazon.com/Pitcairns-Complete-Guide-Natural-Health/dp/157954973X

It is a great starting point and reference book for those looking to stop buying commercial pet foods and start preparing their own food.

Also, don't bother cooking those meats, raw is just fine. If it's raw you don't have to worry about bones splintering only cooked bones splinter. A cat can happily devour an entire uncooked chicken leg bone.

Mixed-CD wedding favors: Off key or in tune? {Aisledash}

Apr 17th 2008 5:07PM Sadly, The RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) views this idea as copyright infringement. Nothing like a legal battle with the most anti-consumer media group to start a marriage off right.
