Rhode Island gets a lot more FiOS TV {Engadget HD}

Dec 23rd 2007 4:48PM I live in one of the towns that will soon receive service. I don't see myself switching from Cox any time soon. Cox RI really has stepped up and have provided lots of new HD stations as of late. I'll wait until Verizon adds some more HD stations. Having the choice is nice though.

Verizon FIOS to add A&E HD on channel 842 {Engadget HD}

Oct 13th 2007 1:50PM FIOS will be coming to my neighborhood soon, but I can't justify switching to them while Cox (my cable provider) keeps rolling out the new HD stations. It seems kind of silly for Verizon to have all that bandwidth and not use it.

DirecTV's newest satellite set to launch on June 20th {Engadget HD}

May 11th 2007 2:18PM I just ditched DirecTV and went back to my local cable co (Cox). I picked up a Series3 Tivo. It's so much better than the HR20. That thing was such a piece of crap - didn't always record shows, crashed, shows were corrupt, the buffer didn't always work properly. I could go on, but why.

I will be a little upset that DirecTV will have more HD stations, but I'll probably switch to FIOS one day, and I'm sure they'll have plenty of bandwith for many HD stations.

The streets ran red near Lowell, Mass. {Autoblog}

Apr 10th 2007 4:51PM I drive this stretch of 495 every day on my way to work. I actually drove through this the morning it happened. I was so pissed. I had just washed my '05 GTO the weekend before. After driving through this mess, I had the red dye all over my car. My wheels looked pink. It came off when I washed it down last weekend, but I know there's still some of it in all kinds of little places I'll never be able to clean unless I rip the car apart.

What really gets me is that I was just about to get off the exit before and take the back roads, but I figured the back roads would be just as backed up. I wanted to see what was causing the traffic, so I drove on. Whoops!!

Apr 5th 2007 9:12PM #13 - it wasn't the horsepower with these cars as much as it was the torque. Good god did that thing just throw you back in the seat. I had an '87 T. That thing was great. I miss it, but at least I know my buddy who I sold it to takes good care of it. One of these years I'll have to get another one.

The truth comes out about DirecTV's 100 HD channels {Engadget HD}

Mar 29th 2007 8:10AM I have DirecTV with an HR20. I'm seriously considering junking the setup and going back to cable w/ an HD Tivo. The HR20 still manages to screw up records on a semi-consistant basis. The wife hates it, so do I. My problem is cable's (Cox) lineup isn't that great, and I don't know if / how they'll be able to add more channels.
