English trucker blindly follows GPS down the wrong path {Autoblog}
Feb 24th 2008 11:49PM I hope this guy gets fired for incompetence. Most GPS units have an option to only follow routes safe for trucks. It was his own damn fault. Also, in response to the jab at American common sense, I see way more of these type of incidents with European drivers.
Like my high school teacher always said when working with calculators "the machine is only as smart as the person using it" and that goes double for GPS units.

Geneva '08 Preview: JCW MINI Cooper S speeds into focus {Autoblog}
Feb 10th 2008 5:48PM When I saw the title JCW Mini, I thought it meant JC Whitney. The picture didn't surprise me since the rendering (production model?) shown looks exactly like the result of a JC Whitney shopping spree with the overdone aero kit and disgusting wing on the back. Why would ANYONE give up $30k of their hard earned money for a street tuned MINI? Why not put that same money towards a WRX or a 335i, something with tangible performance and doesn't illicit chuckles from others.
Fast and Furious Four: Paul Walker's STI is on its way {Autoblog}
Feb 7th 2008 6:03PM I may get boo'd for this but I love the FnF franchise. You have to go into it expecting exactly what it's selling, a fun non-thinking movie with a bunch of cool cars and cool stunts. While the CG stunts in 2F2F were over the top, I enjoyed the scene with paul walker and tyrese racing down the interstate being chased by vipers, ferraris, and one unfortunate Saleen mustang. I'm looking forward to seeing vin and paul back together. Hopefully there will be something nice for them to drive like the supra or one of the skylines from either of the first two movies
FPV F6X launches in Australia {Autoblog}
Jan 31st 2008 12:35AM Seriously, Australia gets all the fun stuff from both GM and Ford. I would KILL for one of those high performance Holdens or Falcons.
Ohio switching fleet to Ford Focus, gov't workers not amused {Autoblog}
Jan 25th 2008 12:03PM I really don't understand the gripe with how the focus looks. Was the previous generation so stunning? The only problem I have with the new Focus is the haphazard grill they put on it. They should have just tacked on the corporate three-bar grill.
As for the whole leg room argument, the majority of these cars are not going to be for shuttling people around. They are for getting employees from point a to point b and I really can't see a better car for this purpose than the focus. Props to Ohio
Ford to Tata: $2 billion is just the beginning for Jag and Land Rover {Autoblog}
Jan 18th 2008 12:01PM This is truly a sad situation. The life-long Ford-guy in me is happy that Ford is finding a way to beat the slump and remain solvent. However, the die-hard LR fan in me is so angry that the iconic British brand is being sold off like a cheap hooker just to pay the pimp's rent. Shame on you Ford.
When is the LRX going on sale, again?
HP facing lawsuit over exploding Presario, injured daughter {Engadget}
Jan 15th 2008 8:31PM Imagine my surprise when I read a headline about an exploding laptop and I see that the picture is of THE EXACT SAME Presario I am writing this comment on. Scary stuff...
