Spy Shots: next generation Jaguar XJ {Autoblog}
Dec 28th 2007 1:57PM I have to say that I think the relative failure of the current XJ has actually INCREASED the brand's cachet with the general public. Jags have always been rare, but now the XJ is about as rare as a Bentley Continental, and to regular Joes, this symbolizes exclusivity and status. Honestly tell me that a black XJ doesn't turn countless heads as it drives down the road. People assume it's someone important.
Also, I had a 1989 XJS as a second car until about a year ago. And that thing still gets approving comments from all sorts of people every single day, even though that car is universally trashed by us car people.

Oct 15th 2007 12:28PM Okay, yes, I know it was a Charger. However I can't particularly see anybody making a General Lee out of a current Charger, whereas I could totally see someone doing it with the Challenger.

Oct 15th 2007 11:16AM I don't see the crosshair grille. Did they get rid of it, or does it just not show up in the picture?
Also, they should offer a General Lee package for this bad boy. I mean, they won't, so maybe some other company should do it.
