I just finished reading through 16 pages (I don't have a life) and I have to believe that this dealership 1. has never faced such a public and growing outcry, and 2. they will sell this car to the auction winner at the bid price when the dust settles.

It may not be new but I didn't get notified until Sept. '07.
Ford dealers are not "fixing" the CC, they're disabling it. So if it's really been since '06, that means lots of ford owners have potentially been driving without CC for a year and a half or so.

Mar 1st 2008 10:49AM Yep. 1993 F-150 XLT with 160,000 miles on the clock and everything still runs fine including the CC. Went straight to the dealer as soon as I got the recall notice some 6 months ago and still no parts to fix it. I refused to let them disable the CC. Last time I called, they told me "maybe March". Hell of a way to run a company.
