Re-branding run amok: HUMMER into Bentley {Autoblog}

Aug 3rd 2008 4:53PM So, it's a BUMMER

Makes sense to me.

Too Human goes gold; 900k downloaded demo {Joystiq}

Jul 31st 2008 7:36PM @velocitySTRIKE

Seriously? I play my DS too and I thought the graphics on Too Human were really meh. In-game cinematics looked super robotic, pull up the menu screen where you outfit your characters and the textures looked really low res...

What it did do right were lighting effects (the bullets and swords as they arced in the air), and the environments, but other than that I wasn't too impressed.

Too Human goes gold; 900k downloaded demo {Joystiq}

Jul 31st 2008 7:21PM I downloaded the demo, and my impressions:

Controls were meh
Camera was horrible
Graphics... nothing spectacular

What I was thinking it would be would be similar to Diablo in game style: run through tons of enemies, pick up cool stuff, make your dude incrementally cooler until a boss and then get something much nicer, repeat ad nauseum.

Problem was a story that looked really dumb, controls that at times felt too complicated and other times felt too simple, a camera that couldn't keep up and when you recentered it just went into place, no feeling of camera movement (I hate that), and it looked like an Xbox1 game.

I'll pass.

Hacker stuffs a wired 360 controller in a DualShock 3 shell {Engadget}

Jul 31st 2008 6:59PM Pretty old.

Dunno why it was done in this direction, either. The 360 controller is quite nice (except the D-Pad). Ergonomics and the triggers are perfect.

It's the PS3 controller that kinda sucks. Triggers are terrible and it just feels... light. Even the Dualshock3 with the rumble motors feels weird in the hands now that I've used the 360 controllers. Yeah, it gets the d-pad right, but the L2 and R2 triggers are horrible.

Finally! It's your turn to watch last year's Final Fantasy Versus XIII trailer {Joystiq}

Jul 23rd 2008 6:07PM I still have _NO_ idea what the "game" will be like. There hasn't been a single bit of gameplay released. It's all pre-rendered movies.

And we all know how FF spinoffs have fared in the past (FFX-2, Dirge of Cerebus). I don't think PS3 fans will have anything to really boast if it remains exclusive.

Spy Shots: 2009 Acura TL in the buff {Autoblog}

Jul 21st 2008 6:59PM What the hell is Acura thinking with that grill?

The covered up spy shots where the grill looked to be part of the body looked great. This, not so much.

2010 Chevrolet Camaro revealed! {Autoblog}

Jul 18th 2008 2:30PM Just shy of the 1970 Camaro for ugliest Camaro ever built.

Basically everything after 1969 was hideous.

And this is no exception.

Nissan GT-R laps the Top Gear test track in... {Autoblog}

Jul 18th 2008 1:22PM And I'd take the GT-R any day.

Although not with that kinda markup. At MSRP, I could maybe afford it in a few years.
