Jul 1st 2008 6:44PM I'll take the Aptera over this thing any day!
CARB requires all new cars in California to bear "green" labels {Autoblog}
Jun 30th 2008 5:23PM I hope it turns out that the ink these labels are printed with comes from a near extinct beetle or endangered seedpod somewhere in South America, and is harvested by child labor. Better yet, all that and it's bought from one of Diane Feinstein's husband's companies.
Father's Day Sweepstakes, Day 1: Wholesalekeychain.com Keychains! {Autoblog}
Jun 16th 2008 1:15PM I'm a dad, and if I weren't I'd probably be able to afford a new Mustang, so I prefer that one.

Jun 16th 2008 9:08AM I had a 1980 Datsun Long Bed that had better numbers.
I hope Mahindra cleans up with a compact utilitarian p/u that is built for actual work, and forgoes this passenger car with a truck bed theme.
Retired autoworker converts early Saturn coupe to battery power {Autoblog Green}
Jun 9th 2008 8:28AM Lad, if your Z car is in halfway decent shape please don't convert it. Those 240s are disappearing, and you'll regret it if you do anything to it that can't be undone.
Now if you want to take a later model 280ZX and convert it, by all means go ahead, it can only help.
Retired autoworker converts early Saturn coupe to battery power {Autoblog Green}
Jun 8th 2008 12:38PM Can one assume that a conversion like this disables certain original safety features, namely the airbags?
Orphan Car Show '08: 1966 Austin Healey 3000 Mk III {Autoblog}
Jun 2nd 2008 9:48AM A gorgeous car, no doubt. I'm still partial to the early MGs, and while the MGA was seriously down on power compared to this, I feel it was a more purist's car.
The chrome spokes don't seem right either. I know it's a Concours grade resto, not a stock representation, but other than chrome knockoffs, I can't stand the "Dayton" look on classic British cars.
Ford Flex gets fridge {Autoblog}
May 23rd 2008 11:33AM So Ford execs were sitting there thinking:
"Should we make it a hybrid?
Nah..
How about we try a fuel cell?
Nah...
Maybe we could make the seats removable and people could use the Flex for more than a kid hauler?
Nah.. Hey pass me another beer!
Ohh! Yeah, totally, let's put a fridge in the back seat! That'd be awesome!"
What a friggin' waste.
Superpowerful small wind turbines light up the night {Engadget}
May 13th 2008 5:22PM Considering a 46" commercial sailboat turbine only produces 400W at 28 MPH, this 14-18" one making 200W at 20 MPH is pretty sweet.

May 12th 2008 12:20PM Done well, this is pretty cool. Kinda like the hang glider ride in the California Adventure theme park at Disneyland. I don't know it this one could include the smell of oranges, though...
