Mulally says new Ford Taurus coming next year {Autoblog}
Jan 22nd 2008 10:40PM They can't be going in the direction of the 427, because the Fusion has already gone there. Most of the style cues from the 427 made their way into the first generation Fusion. Check it out for yourself.
Detroit 2008: Officially Official - It's the Lincoln MKT! {Autoblog}
Jan 14th 2008 9:23AM After having seen all of the photos, I'm completely sold on this vehicle. I will buy my first "luxury" vehicle from Lincoln if the MKT comes to the dealer looking as it does in these pictures.
It is beautiful! And the reclining back seats with leg and foot rests?! What?! This vehicle will firmly place Lincoln back among the best in the luxury segment.
Watch out Caddy!

Detroit 2008: 2009 Ford F-150 looks to keep its crown {Autoblog}
Jan 13th 2008 4:39AM I like it! When I see one myself and get in it I'll decide if I love it as much as I loved the outgoing models. There are some oddities, like the outie belly-button rear badge, and the number of buttons on the center stack, but overall, this looks better than ANY of the other full size offerings, PERIOD.
It seems that people will either hate it or love it, but at least they have a good number of choices so that at least one variation of the F-150 will be appealing.

Jan 12th 2008 3:04AM I think the truck looks pretty good myself. I'd like to see the different variations and how they adapted each to the new overall style direction. I guess we'll see soon!

Spy Shots: 2009 Chevy Camaro caught - interior too! {Autoblog}
Jan 3rd 2008 11:27AM WOW! I thought my eyes were fooling me when I saw the interior and the dash configuration, but no such luck. If GM sends this car to production with an interior like this, or anyhting akin to this, the new camaro will soon go the way of the old camaro. Someone will kill themselves trying to read those guages way down at the bottom of the center stack.
It's been a long time since I looked at a picture and actually jumped back. The wait is over!
Sixteen states tell the EPA: We'll see you in court {Autoblog}
Jan 3rd 2008 10:40AM - Mike:
You seem to be the one who has missed something. A couple of weeks ago, President Bush signed the new CAFE regulations into law. They provide one national standard for automobile emissions and the director of the EPA deemed granting any waivers to individual states to set their own standards to be unnecessary.
There is NO EXPRESSED provision in the law allowing California (or anyone else for that matter) to have it's own standards. If that was the case, there would be no need to even discuss this at all because the director would be violating the very regulation he's trying to enforce! You are just plain wrong!
Under the old legislation, the EPA found it necessary to grant waivers to California in order to protect their air quality, but that is not so under these regulations.
I've got a feeling that the President, some key Congressmen, and the Automotive Industry Lobbyists came to a mutual agreement on this and that is why the lobbyists backed off and the bill finally passed with ease and was signed so quickly.

Jan 3rd 2008 7:37AM Actually Gravitron, that isn't "Un-American" at all. There are many issues to which the Federal government has expressed powers and denies State government any oversight. Maybe you should brush up on your government before commenting on it.
