Spy Shots: Dodge JC49 Crossover {Autoblog}
May 17th 2007 4:21PM Mike, Autoblog is about generating traffic and $$$. Let's don't even pretend these bloggers know anything about cars. I guess your assumption going in is that these people care about cars and is as passionate about them as we are.
Autoblog provides information like a phone book provides information. The "Bloggers" are just data entry people that file & record information that already exist elsewhere. They don't know anything about cars, but they provide a service.
Yes they do editorialize...sometimes they forget they're not qualified, but usually when there are 30 posts slapping them around, they learn quickly to know their limitations. Most of the time they do what a proper data entry person is supposed to do: Provide the information source and summarize it.
Until someone else comes up with an alternative website to match this with better writing, we'll still come here because of the service they provide.

May 17th 2007 1:13PM Guys, give them a break. Most of these bloggers are not car guys nor journalists. All they do is search online for other people's stories and then insert a little write up. It's really just a step above data-entry. You can't expect them to know the difference between cars and crossovers or even being able to tell the brands apart.
They perform a service in that we don't need to go everywhere for automotive stories, but we shouldn't take them any more seriously than we do oh, let say, your neighbor telling you a story about something he read somewhere 2 weeks ago.
Ford may drop Fiesta name for Genesis, Isis, Phoenix or Cuga? {Autoblog}
May 15th 2007 3:47PM Do you guys spend this time time arguing about nonsensical words like Altima, Camry or stupid alphanumeric names like Xb or CRV?
Who cares what they call it.

May 7th 2007 10:07AM You guys obviously are not familiar with AM history. It just managed to turn a profit. It was a failing company until Ford took over. Of course there are people out there that are willing to pay more for this company. I suspect the issue was that Ford wanted to match AM with a buyer instead of the highest bidder. When the new owner took over, they went for the money instead.
Holy $#!@ - John Schneider's General Lee sold for nearly $10 million on eBay! {Autoblog}
May 4th 2007 3:28PM It's a movie memorabilia...when did that ever make any sense? You guys are taking this way too seriously. $10 mil is really not a big deal to some one that has hundreds of millions. This makes no more sense than someone buying a comic book for $3000. However, if someone has the money to pay for it, good for them.
It's not my thing, but I don't care if someone else lusts after it to the tune of $10 large.

Lexus LS Hybrid delayed {Autoblog}
Apr 30th 2007 2:16PM Yes Mattlach, but there is always someone holier than thou. People without cars thinks your car should be banned from the road like you think large vehicles should be banned because it infringed upon your right to safety and clean air. That is the problem with the environmetalism religion, you can use it to justify everything.

Apr 30th 2007 11:24AM Mattlach, I don't own a car and I feel I have the right to clean air & safe roads, so I demand that you stop driving immmediately.
