Snake Skin Green Hennessey Venom 1000TT up for sale {Autoblog}
May 10th 2008 6:20PM While I do like Vipers I'm not to big on Hennesey's stuff for them. From what I hear he's a scam artist. If I had the money to buy this or the Veyron I'd get the Veyron without even thinking twice.
Your oil dollars at work - $9.8 million license plate auction in the UAE {Autoblog}
May 6th 2008 4:36PM That is so stupid. The LAST thing these guys want is to support terrorism. They make money hand over fist from Americans so why would they want to do anything to destory this country? So to assume every Arab(or even most) is a terrorist is both illogical and racist.
Another bloody Veyron: Presenting the Sang Noir {Autoblog}
May 5th 2008 1:37PM The Veyron was designed backwards(even the guy who designed the F1 says that). They drew the car, gave it an arbitrary HP number and an arbitrary top speed. The design of the Veyron isn't conducive to a high speed car. You ever notice how the CCR/X, S7, SSC and even the F1 all look very similar to each other?
That's because they were designed in the wind tunnel and they helped make the car cut through the air easier. The Veyron was just designed which is why it's drag coefficient is so horrible. So they had to devise ways where the car would lower itself, cut off vents, have spoilers that adjusted itself, and other things in order to let it generate downforce and/or make it more aerodynamic.
Even after all that you have to consider that the Veyron is a 4000 pound car. So they made a car that is fat and unaerodynamic outperform anything else. That is why the Veyron is so impressive. It's not simply putting a big engine in a light car. People have also said that it is dramatically more stable than any other car at high speeds.
Another bloody Veyron: Presenting the Sang Noir {Autoblog}
May 4th 2008 8:54PM The Veyron is special because through sheer engineering they did something that it was not supposed to be able to do. A car that looks like that with "only" 1000 hp shouldn't be able to go 252 MPH.
Not only can it do it, it can do it stably. Based of sheer ingenuity it's the best car ever made IMO. It is the ultimate GT car.
Eye Candy: "Go Speed Racer Go" music video {Autoblog}
May 1st 2008 2:14AM I have to admit that I'm converted and I am REALLY hyped to see this movie.
BYD introduces the Keyless Entry Wristwatch {Autoblog}
Apr 24th 2008 9:18PM Bah you stole my response. Even though the watch is like $14K I couldn't buy the car without getting the watch.
Honda NSX to spearhead RWD model lineup {Autoblog}
Apr 17th 2008 12:28PM It is the distinctive characteristic of the original NSX so that's why it's on the concept. I personally loved the concept and if they could have built it without toning it down too much it would have been one of the best looking cars in the world. It looks VERY futuristic, but doesn't look like it's trying to.
Volkswagen Phaeton could return to the U.S. this year, or next {Autoblog}
Apr 17th 2008 12:24PM I am another person who REALLY likes the Phaeton. If I won the lotto I'd probably own one. However people in the US are brand whores for the most part. No one is gonna spend $50K-$80K on a car without a BMW, Mercedes, or Lexus badge on it.
Very First Drive: 2009 Bentley Brooklands {Autoblog}
Apr 14th 2008 2:37PM I like the looks of the car, but I'm not really feeling that interior. I think the Continentals have better interiors and so does the Phantom. I'd still probably buy one though. :P
Rumormill: 2009 Acura TL coming in 2 flavors, gets AWD {Autoblog}
Apr 13th 2008 1:03AM Damn Honda, stop half assing it and make the damn car RWD already. Also, 300 HP from a V6 isn't that amazing anymore.
I, like someone else said, really hope they don't **** up the styling on the TL. The current one is gorgeous and they have been screwing up everything else.
