Trapster exposes speed traps on your mobile device {Autoblog}

May 24th 2008 1:23PM I agree 100%. The point of speed traps is to keep people from speeding which keeps us all safer. Morons who put together programs like this to circumvent laws that keep all of us safer should be... well I can't say, but it isn't very nice.

I think I'll do the same and post a false positives. Besides, what's to stop police from submitting false positives?

Volkswagen predicts U.S. diesel share could hit 30% by 2018 {Autoblog Green}

May 20th 2008 2:28PM I won't buy a hybrid until I'm convinced that the cabin is sufficiently shielded from the electro magnetic field and the resulting electro magnetic radiation. Also, how much is it going to cost to recycle the hybrid batteries at the end of their life, and replace with new batteries?

VW needs to bring the Rabbit TDI over now! Otherwise it will take far longer for them to reach their 30% goal.

Apr 21st 2008 4:18PM Hey Chris Shunk...it's painfully eveident that you are incredibly selfish, totally insensitive, and morally bankrupt.

When I first saw the trailer hitch adornment I was pissed off. Why? Do you walk around with your balls hanging out of your pants?!?!?

Secondly, do you want children to see that? That's no different than a flasher exposing himself at a elementary playground.

Thirdly, when my wife saw it, she was not only offended, disgusted, and frightened (a lot of female rape victims out there).

New York 2008: World Car of the Year Awards {Autoblog}

Mar 20th 2008 1:12PM I would be more inclined to buy a Mazda if they were as reliable as a Toyota, or a Honda.....but they aren't. Therefore, they aren't the best on Earth. I will give them credit for being more dependable than any of the domestics or European offerings.

Gee, I thought the planet was supposed to be getting warmer?

Honda almost gay-friendly, more like gay-cordial {Autoblog}

Mar 10th 2008 7:54PM "The Japanese automaker took a step towards moving into the majority recently when it decided to begin offering insurance benefits to same-sex partners at some of its U.S. operations"

So if your partner is the opposite sex, he/she is not covered. That's special rights for gays, and that is wrong.

Edmunds asks: How much car do you really need? {Autoblog Green}

Feb 29th 2008 12:58PM Frylock350, your argument is incredibly thin. All I hear from what you're saying is what you want, not what you need. Your defense of SUV's include how good the exhaust sounds! Give me a break! That's pathetic.

You go on to say "I also hate unit-body vehicles, can't stand modern wedge-shaped styling, can't stand short stumpy hoods, can't stand whiny-ass DOHC motors, can't stand narrow cars, etc.", but you give no reason why other than the "whiny-ass DOHC motors". Your other arguments are basically based on the size of your ego.

In the past I owned a Searay 22 Seville Mid-cabin boat which weighed 5000 lbs. dry. I pulled it with a Chevy S-10 4x4 with the 160 HP 4.3L V6 and had no issues at all. The trailer had surge brakes so braking was a non-issue.

You go on to say "I love my Suburban and wouldn't trade it for anything. Its practically the safest vehicle around,"... (but how safe is it for the people in the other smaller vehicle you hit?) ..."has phenomenal hauling capability,"... (which you rarely if ever need) ..."returns ~21mpgs when I'm cruising @69mph,"... (That's all? You should be driving a vehicle that gets 42 MPG to help reduce our dependance on foreign oil) ..."lets me take 7 people with me fishing"... (and how often do you "need" to do that? Once every few months?)

Bottom line your argument is as I already said... all about your ego and your selfishness.

One last thing not related to Frylock350's comments. Americans are so caught up in "keeping up with the Joneses" that they throw common sense out the window. It's frequently said that Americans don't like hatcbacks, and that we'd rather drive sedans. How much sense does that make? Sedans do one thing well...carry people, and that's it. Consequently, our selection of hatchbacks compared to the international world is pathetic. How easy is it to stuff a large box into the back seat of a sedan? Sure you could buy an SUV and have plenty of room, but I don't think I need to reiterate how stupid owning an SUV is. By the way, SUV really stands for Stupid User Vehicle...but I digress. So if Americans weren't so concerned with their status, we would have many more fuel efficient, practical (and sporty) hatchbacks.

Black Flagged Online: The Onion of NASCAR {Autoblog}

Feb 25th 2008 7:22PM Why don't you quit beating around the bush aand come out and say that anyone who enjoys watching a NASCAR race is a bufoon who probably is a product of inbreeding.

I guess I'm just not as sophisticated as you are Chris. All is not lost though, Someday I might be privileged enough to enjoy watching F1 or GT racing.

Toyota earns first ever NASCAR win {Autoblog}

Feb 15th 2008 1:15PM Your ignorance is amazing. What all of you fail to understand (and this completely baffles me because you all think youselves so intelligent) is that the reason why NASCAR has gone to a custom built non-production race car is to SAVE LIVES!!!

You can't take a production vehicle and make it safe at 200 MPH.

Dale Earnhardt died in February 2001 because he refused to wear the HANS device because he had too much pride.....just like a lot of you here.
