Wolfgang Petersen Off 'Ender's Game', but Movie's Still Not Dead {Cinematical}

Apr 22nd 2008 12:12PM Thats the problem with visuals in a movie, be it animated or not. You use what you know and seeing a relatively young person be extremely talent in both mind and body wouldn't work. It would appear silly, and unreal.

When I read the books, I never pictured him young, i just saw a boy, so having a teenage young male play him would be the safest bet.

Should software be native or web-based? {Download Squad}

Apr 7th 2008 11:00AM There's a place for both. And one day when internet speeds are in the Gigabits/sec for everyone I could see only Web based applications.

But Ken, I disagree that Web based apps are easier to develop. I'm primarily a Enterprise Software Engineer but have now started doing some Web Development for our VOIP product and web developing simply SUCKS. Its like I started programming C without an IDE or debugger.

For as popular web development is I'd think they would be better tools out there. I've looked and tried and while some are ok (at best) they simple all SUCK. Its like moving back in time, a few decades.

For the immediate future Native apps will still rule over web based. If I like a product enough I'm ok with installing it on all my computers, apparently people agree with me otherwise Firefox would be nothing.

Goodyear responds to Tony Stewart tongue lashing {Autoblog}

Mar 12th 2008 12:00PM 1) Goodyear dropped the ball. The tire was too hard for its own good. No grip, everyone said so. They went too cautious with that tire.

2) The race was boring! (For those of us that like NASCAR) Which is bad for NASCAR and for Goodyear.

3) Why would Tony eat his words if Goodyear brought a better tire next time? That just means he was RIGHT!

4) There isn't nothing wrong with the COT. Its not the cars we can drive off the lots on monday, but would they ever really be? When was the last time you could or would feel really comfortable taking out a mom and pop sedan and go 200+ MPH into a corner. Not me. Not even close.

5) This was the first set back with the car, and it wasn't entirely the cars fault. It was the tire brought. Goodyear will get it right, i have faith in that.

Polish police give street racing the go-ahead in certain sections of town {Autoblog}

Feb 26th 2008 11:50AM That is no longer the case here. But there still was a speed limit then. Just not defined by a number. More of a common sense speed limit. Wish the entire world could work that way. More common sense, less stupidity.

Toyota earns first ever NASCAR win {Autoblog}

Feb 15th 2008 5:32PM 1) Lets see 5 Bugattis crash into each other at almost 200 MPH, hit hard into a concrete wall, then flip over 50 feet in the air and see them all come out alive.

2) NASCAR is real 100% some of the best PURE competition out there. Its why its so popular, why open wheel drivers are coming over.

3) If I was a huge manufacturer, why wouldn't i call my Ford Engined car the fusion when thats my "Bread and Butter" car? If it sells a few more because of it great. Its not the only reason they are there.

4) What NASCAR is trying to do its let setups, engines, and drivers decide who wins these races. Not multibillion dollar aero packages. Some of the rules are dumb, but so are a lot of things in this world.

Danica Patrick reaches new milestone, SI's Swimsuit Issue {Autoblog}

Feb 14th 2008 12:24PM Shes a natural beauty if you'd see her in person. No makeup needed.

But WTF SI? Those photos are HORRIBLE! Could of been 10 times better. Look like something a high school film student shot.

Michael Bay Writes Script for 'Transformers 2' {Cinematical}

Feb 13th 2008 3:49PM Oh yeah, such a BIG ego when he's doing some outline of the plot, characters, etc.... yeah guess we all have BIG EGOs for doing a little preproduction.

Latest Opera build adds advanced tab manager {Download Squad}

Feb 11th 2008 1:50PM Now if only the web would stick to standards it wouldn't matter what browser you wanted to use, all pages would work correctly.

I only have 1% of page problems with Opera. Mostly sites that only work in IE, so Firefox no savior there. Opera FTW
