Hyundai exec talks engine sharing with Mercedes-Benz {Autoblog}

May 9th 2008 4:04PM I'll believe it when I see the Mercedes-Benz "Big Duh Sales Event" commercials.

But seriously, hasn't the aforementioned World Engine been derided in many reviews as being harsh and unrefined? I seem to remember this particularly in the Avenger/Sebring reviews. I'm not saying Hyundai isn't making progress, but it sounds as though they still have some work to do.

Weber Sportcars "faster one" supercar ready for customers {Autoblog}

Apr 30th 2008 12:28PM Holy schmoley! That thing crashed head-on into the ugly tree, ricocheted into the ugly guardrail, then barrelrolled into the ugly ditch.

Contrary to the press release, maybe the Swiss ought to stick to making the world's most prestigious chronographs.

GM posts $3.25 billion loss in Q1 {Autoblog}

Apr 30th 2008 12:12PM I'll be the first to admit that I don't appreciate the intricacies of major-league accounting, but I'm often puzzled and amused by big-time quarterly losses quickly followed by "...but it looks worse than it is" spin.

I might have been daydreaming in math class, but I'm fairly certain a loss of three-thousand two-hundred and fifty MILLION dollars looks pretty "worse". Save the popping champagne corks for when GM makes some money instead losing less than expected.

First Drive: 2009 Hyundai Sonata - Korean bred, redesigned in America {Autoblog}

Apr 26th 2008 12:44PM It sounds as though the refresh did little to quell the appliance-like attributes of the Sonata. I test-drove one about a year and a half ago and while it was basically competent, it was also totally forgettable. In fact, the most memorable part of that drive were the lousy front seats. At least it sounds like they've paid some attention to that significant problem.

Suzuki Swift DZire takes a dip during test drive {Autoblog}

Apr 11th 2008 7:06PM Now that's what I call an unDZireable outcome.

First Drive: 2009 BMW X6 xDrive35i and xDrive50i {Autoblog}

Apr 11th 2008 12:19PM Well, I butchered that post. Hey Autoblog, how about an 'edit' button?!

First Drive: 2009 BMW X6 xDrive35i and xDrive50i {Autoblog}

Apr 11th 2008 12:17PM Having only seen the X6 in 2D so far, the photos only inspire terms such as 'ugly' and 'ill-conceived' so far. Hopefully, it'll look better in person. Or not.

Maybe BMW can work out a deal with GM and rename the X6 as the BMW Aztek. Fitting, no?

VIDEO: Think the NASCAR Car of Tomorrow's not tough? Watch this. {Autoblog}

Apr 5th 2008 4:57PM Man, this is AWESOME!! Thanks to YouTube, now I don't have sit through all those other boring ol' roundy-round laps! Thrill of victory, agony of defeat? Bah...bring on the wrecks!

Oldsmobile Redux: The rest of the story... {Autoblog}

Apr 5th 2008 8:30AM Wow. That's pretty funny.

I find it amazing that there are still folks out there that try to pass off Mr. Harvey's infomercial/commentary as 'The News'. Granted, many seem to be in the silver-haired demographic, but still...

Has anyone in the Paul Harvey 'news'room sent out a retraction?

Hyundai's "Big Duh" campaign officially one to remember {Autoblog}

Apr 2nd 2008 10:32AM Yeesh. Terrible ads. Hopefully, the award was given to whomever came to their senses and finally put a bullet in that idiotic campaign.
