Feb 15th 2008 7:17PM OK, i'll take a stab:

Jeep: Keep both Wranglers, the Patriot, Liberty and Grand Cherokee. Kill the Compass (soft road Jeep??) and the Commander. I know the Patriot is not the worlds best Jeep, but it is a cheep entry point to a very desirable brand.

Dodge: Kill the Nitro, Dakota, Journey and Viper. Why would they need two halo cars, since the Challenger is WAY cheaper to build and isn't off its own platform. Replace Dakota with a LX based 'ute. Add a small car from China, keep the Demon, and both coupe and convertible Avengers. Convertible does not have hard top, and replaces Sebring as the "go to" for rental car companies. Then (or perhaps before) go through and give all the cars interiors that don't belong in a Cozy Coupe, but not too nice... that's what Chrylser is for.

Chrysler: kill Aspen, PT, Sebring sedan and Town & Country. Town & Country is replaced by the Journey Dodge just lost, replacing the Aspen, Pacifica and mini-van. PT is replaced by a new mini-fighter, perhaps from the same platform as the small Dodge. Sebring convertible becomes more of a Eos/9-3/C70 competitor, but for about 5-10k less. Chrysler is the premium brand here, so options on Dodge should be standard on Chrysler, and somethings should be Chrylser only. I would love to see a new Crossfire, too, but not just as a default; it should be a reward for strong sales and high quality product. Also, SRT is put on hold until they build a car that deserves it. Punishment for the engineers poor product now, and a reward for future fantastic (well, at this point we should settle for competitive) vehicles.

As a side note, don't badge engineer! Share platforms, more like Enclave/Outlook than the Fusion/Milan. End goal should be alot like Toyota with the Camry platform.

"YahooPhone" and "YPhone" trademarks filed for... by Hop-on? {Engadget}

Feb 15th 2008 6:19PM And, of course, like all Hop-On products, this will be available soon, but will never be for sale. I wonder how they still can be in business, since I don't think they do ANYTHING...
