Hertz Shelby GT-Hs going up for auction {Autoblog}
May 13th 2008 10:53AM I wonder how many people said that back in the late 1960s. A 1966 GT350H sold for $39,000 at Barrett-Jackson in 2001. This year, one sold for $167,500, and there was a steady increase in value of all Hertz Shelbys in between the sale of those two.

May 6th 2008 10:18AM I think Carroll has shown that he is very agreeable when it comes to licensing his name. It's when people like the guys who ran the SAAC refused to pay the $1/year licensing fee and sold the stuff Carroll asked them not to sell that he gets upset. Carroll's a super nice guy.
And you thought $79,995 was crazy...GT500KR for sale on ebay for $154,991.00 {Autoblog}
May 5th 2008 11:06AM It almost looks like that car is on the lot, but I took that photo at Shelby Autos on April 10!

VIDEO: Haven't you always wondered? ROUSH vs. SALEEN {Autoblog}
Feb 22nd 2008 5:13PM No such thing as a 2008 Roush 427R. The '08 models are 428Rs. But wow, more weight, less horsepower, $10K less in price, and the Roush outperforms the Saleen in just about every test.

USA Today lists the 25 cars with the most 'impact' {Autoblog}
Jun 27th 2007 9:16AM There were only a handful and they were all crushed. They were actually produced at AAI, the plant where Mustangs are being built now.

Jun 26th 2007 10:59AM I agree that the 2005 Mustang should be on the list. Without this car there would be no 2004 Pontiac GTO (which would be a good thing), 200X Camaro or 200X Challenger. The '05 Mustang forced GM and DC to respond, mostly by copying Ford's Mustang formula--just like 1967 all over again...

Jun 26th 2007 10:53AM 1994 was neither the last year of the 5.0 nor the first year of the 4.6. The 5.0 was last used in 1995 and the 4.6 was introduced in the 1996 Mustang GT.
The 1994 Mustang saw the pony return to the grille (it was used on the 1993 Cobra as well, although only 5100 '93 Cobras were built). The '94 model resurrected other styling queues from the original Mustang like the side scoops and three-element taillights.
Ford sold over 123,000 '94 Mustangs--about 9,000 more than in 1993. Only 45,992 Firebirds were built, while Chevy made 119,799 Camaros.
The 1994 Mustang was named Motor Trend's Car of the Year and served as Pace Car for the Indianapolis 500, but the 1994 Mustang may be best remembered as the car that saved Mustang.
The 1994 Mustang was slated to be a front-wheel drive model since FWD was gaining popularity in the industry and RWD was more expensive to produce. Some FWD Mustangs were actually produced, but John Coletti, who started Ford's Special Vehicle Team (SVT), put his foot down and demanded that Mustang remain RWD. (He was supported by tens, maybe hundreds of thousands of letters from upset Mustang enthusiasts.) The FWD car was rebadged as the Ford Probe and Coletti's team created what would become the 1994 Mustang.
The 1998 Navigator was Detroit's first luxury SUV.

The Shelby Mustang has always been a high-end, expensive option. In 1967, the base Mustang started at $2461 while the GT500 had a base price of $4195.
There is a Bullitt coming in the spring of 2008.
