Oct 6th 2008 2:02PM "Star Trek: The Next Generation" may have something to say about Knight Rider's font claim.
Fake MacTablet Gallery {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Sep 18th 2008 3:34PM I had an HP tablet for a while, and it was uncomfortably hot at times.
If Apple makes a tablet computer, it'll need to stay cool. And considering their MacBook and MacBookPro's heat, this might be a challenge.

Toyota Supra is DOA, FJ Cruiser won't be refreshed, more hybrids on the way {Autoblog}
Aug 15th 2008 12:07PM I'm happy to see the Toyota/Subaru project is getting more focus, though at the cost of a new Supra it's a little bittersweet. I'll be looking into buying a new car around the time that is supposed to be announced, and it'll come down to the Toyo-baru or the WRX.
Also sad to see the FJ getting the axe. I loved the old 4runners when they were about the size of the current FJ, but they have gotten so large I don't care for them anymore. Honestly, I don't understand the constant push for larger and larger SUVs and trucks. Particularly the ones that started life as a size 2 and have moved up to a size 8. The difference between the largest SUVs and the next size down has become so small that it's silly in my opinion.

Daddy, where do Macs go when they die? {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Aug 14th 2008 12:18PM I'm on my first Mac (new convert, MacBook) and when I replace it in the near future (I grew out of it in under a year) it will go to my parents.
Old computers tend to go to girlfriends (now ex's of course) or they get parted out.
NVIDIA G92 and G94 GPUs failing too? {Engadget}
Aug 12th 2008 2:14PM Far be it for me, who is not a journalist, to point out when Engadget should really be thinking more about what they post, but the Inquirer?
Seriously, until now I've gone to Engadget for my tech news, and now you're telling me that Engadget is getting their tech news from just anybody? I could re-post that kind of crap for free.
For shame.
AeroMotions downforce splitting rear spoiler debuts {Autoblog}
Aug 11th 2008 3:53PM The elements on the McLaren F1, Veyron, Porsches, Sunfire and 3000GTs are actually wings, being elevated from the body surfaces of the vehicles. The Beetle element is a spoiler. I can not speak to the other vehicles because I have not seen them.
Spoilers increase drag and (sometimes) reduce lift. There isn't any way of reduce drag while adding surface area, it's a physical impossibility.
The aerodynamic elements on cars known as spoilers and wings serve the same purpose, to reduce lift (induce down force). This down force comes from the mechanical redirection of induced drag.
A wing may be more effective because it can be elevated out of the turbulent airflow moving over the body of the car, but that doesn't change how it works from a spoiler.

Thanks. I forgot that one.
While we're adding to the list. The OLD Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 had an active spoiler too.

Both cars you mentioned are Lexus models. I'm talking about the Toyota brand. Besides, I don't consider the GS a sports car. The IS line is sporty, I'll give you that.
I don't have any delusions about Toyota competing with someone like Lamborghini or Aston Martin. I never suggested it and I can't figure out how you got to that idea logically. You completely missed where I mentioned the Supra, MR2 and Celica. Simple, sporty cars, at affordable prices. Not luxury models, not supercars. Cars to compete with the likes of the Honda S2000, Nissan 350Z, Mitsubishi Evolution, Subaru WRX, or even the Ford Mustang GT, Chevrolet Camaro. Relatively common cars that I see on the road every day. Toyota has zero competition for these.
