Jul 3rd 2008 9:05PM Living in the Chicago area, I generally see new models pretty quickly after they're unleashed on consumers.
The C30 though, has continued to elude me. I haven't seen a single C30 anywhere, aside from at the Chicago Auto Show.
Is anyone buying this car?

Jun 24th 2008 5:25PM Tim Cook. He is the chief operating officer, and he was put in charge when Steve was undergoing treatment for his cancer a few years back. Ive is chief of design, he belongs in a studio, not a boardroom. Likewise, Forstall and Johnson are good where they are. Phil Schiller is a possibility, but less likely than Cook.

Jun 23rd 2008 2:31PM First of all... that blue paint is spectacular. A friend of mine got one of these in white, and it's nice... but that blue.. damn!
This car is an absolute blast. It's just a really rewarding vehicle. That DSG is still the only good substitution for a manual gearbox. The engine sings, the AWD grabs the road, and the interior is just about perfect. You really have to drive this car to fully appreciate it. And this is coming from someone who normally criticizes VW for its poor reliability ratings. In this case, I just can't care too much. As for the poor fuel economy... Look no further than the AWD to explain it. Adds more weight, requires more power.

Jun 23rd 2008 1:59PM >As much as I would love to have a Civic SI or even a non SI coupe, I would have a lot of trouble fitting a nice sized box into the Civic.
You know, I faced that exact same dilemma. So I got a used RSX-S. Hatchbacks trump coupes. Fold those back seats down and you can fit a surprising amount of crap in there.

Jun 23rd 2008 1:49PM I just want the entire concept to GO AWAY. You can't do Top Gear without the guys any more than you can make a banana split without bananas.
This is worse than Americanized Iron Chef. At least that show had an actual Iron Chef.

What's the point of driving a car with a 8000 RPM redline if you're only going to shift at 4 every time? Might as well own a Civic at that point.

Jun 17th 2008 11:13AM This poor car has so much to live up to, it's almost destined to be a disappointment. Not only must it live up to the original car, it's going to live in the shadow the GT-R. The price to performance ratio must be extremely competitive in order to stand out.
