Rumormill: 350 hp Volvo C30 R in the works {Autoblog}

Jul 19th 2008 10:02AM Highly unlikely as they *just* made the decision to nix the performance line. I expect this rumor to die a quiet fuel efficient death.

Spy Shots: 2010 Kia Sorento {Autoblog}

Jul 11th 2008 11:37AM I can attest to the poor MPG of the current Sorento. I get 15-18 with mixed driving. I wonder if they'll offer the 4 cyl with this like they are with the Sante Fe.

Jul 11th 2008 11:33AM The current Sorento looks very much like a Mercedes M class, which is funny because when it was introduced it wasn't as close, but with with the M redesign the Mercedes design team made it look MORE like the Sorento. Kind of funny when I park my Sorento next to an M and their kids say "look daddy another truck like ours!" (true story)

Jul 11th 2008 11:31AM I cross shopped the Escape Hybrid with the Sorento a few years back and there is no comparison. In fact the closer comparison to an Escape in the Kia line would be the Sportage, which has that same cheap/economy SUV feel the Escape masters. Add to that the absolute idiocy of the Ford staff (who tried to tell me Kia's were made in China and were unsafe) and I was back on the Kia lot in no time.

After 2 years of ownership I couldn't be any happier with my Sorento (well a few more MPG would be nice)

Jul 7th 2008 8:35AM Doesn't the Audi A8 offer the same sort of passive/heat control system for the car while it's parked? I heard somewhere it exhausted hot air, which has to be powered by something other than the main battery I would think.

Jun 29th 2008 11:22AM They disappear because real 'work trucks' have many varieties of racks built on top of the bed, which interfere with gimmicks like this. Expect to see this feature dropped for the next gen.
