Apr 3rd 2006 4:19PM I'm not sure just using letters is always safe either. Is it really attractive to drive a Cadillac Et Cetera (ETC)? I usually read GMC SLT as GMC SLuT. A Chevrolet SS in most colors seems reasonable, but in black I find it a little creepy. My favorite might be the Honda CR-V. They're advertised everywhere in California. "CRV" is the California Redemption Value", the nickel you get back when you turn in bottles and cans for recycling.

Mar 12th 2006 2:00AM Ok, well, if Billy C thinks this is a waste of money, then it must be true! I mean, he's a well-published researcher in the areas of automotive engineering, economics, and/or human physiology. Say Cheese! Speed cameras officially go operational in Scottsdale {Autoblog}

Feb 24th 2006 12:30PM As Chappy (#7) reiterated, this only tickets drivers going 11+ mph over the speed limit: that's 76 in a 65 zone. You're not going to get ticket for going 67 Bernie (#13). I don't have a problem with that. Hopefully it will let traffic police spend more time looking for aggressive/drunk/stupid drivers.

Feb 12th 2006 9:13PM Complicated, yes. Increase vehicle weight? Not so much. Honda's hybrid drivetrain increases the Accord and Civic weight by a meager 3-4% (~150lbs and ~70lbs, respectively). And increases straight-line performance and economy at the same time.
