Spy Shots: Cadillac CTS-V engine bay {Autoblog}
Jul 3rd 2007 11:01AM I'm eager to see what GM does with the CTS-V - this could be the fir Domestic car that brings me back to buying "American". I quote the word "American" since my Z4 is made in the US but considered an Import. I've been really impressed with GMs changes - it's the only domestic manufacturer that I believe has a chance to compete head to head with the imports. Ford is just too far behind and is too slow to change, and Chrysler needs to focus on quality/relibility/fuel economy...which perhaps they will do when they return to their American roots in August.

Renault F1 team goes virtual, opens up shop in Second Life {Autoblog}
May 12th 2007 10:06AM I dont understand why something happening in "Second Life" gets press. A game for people to spend real money on virtual items instead of going into the real world.....just doesn't seem right.
AutoblogGreen drives the Ford HySeries Drive Edge {Autoblog}
Feb 6th 2007 12:17PM I like the black wheel arches on the white body - I could see this color combo being popular if it was available on the current Edge. It's great to see the improved style on domestics like the Edge.

Cobra Technology & Lifestyle gears up the Suzuki SX4 {Autoblog}
Feb 6th 2007 12:14PM I think this looks pretty good for such a small vehicle. It's not easy to make them look unique while still maintaining current styling trends.

Forget AAA: How to unlock your car with a tennis ball {Autoblog}
Feb 4th 2007 3:12PM I was interested in does this actually work on todays common cars. I didn't want to damage my cars, so i used some thick rubber hose which is wide enough to cover the entire lock hole, inserted my compressed air gun into the other end, and with a pull of the trigger shot a powerful stream of compressed air into the lock. My results: 2007 Lexus RX350.....no unlock. 2006 BMW 330i.....no unlock. 2005 Scion Tc.....no unlock. Neighbors 2005 Infiniti FX35....no unlock. So I tried 4 vehicles and no luck. I would try a really low end vehicle, but no one in my neighborhood buys domestic. Findings: Carry and extra key with you, it works every time and is easier to carry then a tennis ball.
ExxonMobil earns record $39.5 billion in 2006 {Autoblog}
Feb 2nd 2007 2:28PM Good for them - their business is doing well and no one should be crying that they make too much money. Stop buying their products and they won't make money - but I dont expect to see many people converting to bikes.
I do agree though that the government should cut back on tax breaks and subsidies provided. May have been needed in the past, but these companies have grown up and are doing well.
For me, until we're paying $8+ a gallon, it's cheap gas and I'm happy to keep filling up my SUV with it.

Perhaps Chery should stick to copying Daewoos {Autoblog}
Feb 1st 2007 8:18PM This is a bad case of a car company tring to follow a successful computer company. Something was just lost in the translation when Cherry copied Apple's "Think Different" approach. Now I have to go brush my teeth, I think I threw up a little when I first saw the photo....

In the Autoblog Garage: 2007 Hyundai Azera Limited {Autoblog}
Jan 31st 2007 1:45PM I've driven just about all the family sedans on the market currently and am very impressed by the Azera. For the price of a loaded up Camry V6 you can have the Azera with it's extra goodies (like the power rear sunshade, more interior room, better road manners and cornering, etc.). Hyundai has come a long way and has proven that it has what it takes to be a serious contender in the US market. The only real thing I see missing is a navigation/backup camera option in their vehicles - this is an option many people like me require in any car I own. There is one other thing I would change in the Azera - the paint texture and color of their interior door handles - they do not match the rest of the vehicle, but this is a minor oversight.
Woman trades in 1935 Daimler Lanchester for new Daihatsu Sirion {Autoblog}
Jan 26th 2007 2:44PM It's a shame these types of things still happen. Hopefully when all the details come out, this one wont be as bad as the dealer who's salespeople actually stole from the disabled man last week.
