Iceland taking a serious look at hydrogen {Autoblog Green}

Jul 14th 2007 11:59AM What Farmers should do in the "Good Times":
Buy and Build Solar Farms.
Electricity Rates are going to un-cap in PA in two years, how about your state?
Solar Panels are the most efficient way to recover solar energy, as Sam has shown.
If you've got farm land then you've got the perfect "crop" with Solar Panels and putting that power back into the Grid.

Jul 14th 2007 10:30AM How come AutoBlog gets the COOL comment boxes, and AutoBlogGreen get's the crap ones. They are only drooling about stupid fast cars you get to drive in rush hour traffic, WE are drooling about Saving the World.

There's only two redeeming qualities of H2 cars:
- 1) If the auto industry goes fuel cell, then, they NEVER ever have to hear about air pollution from environmental's. That must be very appealing to them.
- B) What's this about diesel hybrids and diesel sitting in the tank for months without being consumed. Is this a "Real" problem? Will it really gunk up the works? Is there an additive type solution to this?

I still think the Serial Bio-Diesel Hybrid with a Good Battery is the way to go.

Geely looking to produce 2 million vehicles/year by 2015 {Autoblog}

Jul 14th 2007 10:03AM Sheesh,
The point is 2003 is like "yesterday" in a car's life.
My car is a 2000, for example, and I'd puck if my car did as badly as the 2003 F150.

Also, you "Ford guys" always assume, that we critics must be Foreign Car Lovers, with your Toyota Facts.

I want Ford and Toyota to pass crash tests. I'm a SAFETY fan not a Toyota or Ford fan.

And you know, if it weren't for "Government Regulation" the 2007 F150 would be Just Like the 2003 F150.

Jul 14th 2007 9:54AM Hey, don't be the first customer!
Wait and see what the reliability will be.
Wal-Mart's business strategy is
Turn Durables into Consumables.

I've talked to a guy selling chinese scooters, the price is great, but, he can't get parts and the things break once a month. If you've got the time to let a chinese car sit in your yard for months waiting for parts, then it may be your kind of car. If not, wait and see what kind of reliability you'd be getting. ( Aside from the safety question. )

Forbes names "Most Affordable Luxury Cars" {Autoblog}

Jul 12th 2007 7:23PM Very Disappointing, not 1 car has any fuel-efficient optional engine choices. So, there's NO WAY to get a fuel efficient luxury car.

Volvo, 227 hp, and a rediculous 13hp/lb power to weight ratio, for example. So, there's no buyers that want, luxury, fuel-efficiency and safety?

Does Volvo even know who it's buyers are?
That's why they don't see more then 10,000 vehicle sales a year.

And yet, they have a 1.8 liter diesel in Europa.

Jul 12th 2007 7:02PM Would be nice if Sub put some money into fuel efficiency.

2009 Lincoln MKS to get first application of GDI V-6 {Autoblog}

Jul 11th 2007 5:54PM With 4 dollar gas coming, 300 hp seems Ultra-Stupid.
So, no, they don't design these cars for Exxon?

Addressing the demand side of the energy equation {Autoblog Green}

Jul 11th 2007 5:50PM And there's no accounting for the three Navy Aircraft Carriers in the Arabian Gulf, at taxpayer expense.

Big 3 dealers scared of the new CAFE standards {Autoblog Green}

Jul 11th 2007 5:43PM Sales won't be down because of CAFE standards.
CAFE standards will save the Auto Industry, if it puts out fuel efficient product to meet those standards.

Nobody needs a 300 hp SUV. Just 4 years ago SUV's "Only" had 200hp, and you could get minivans with smaller engines.

This is PURE BS from the Auto Industry.

Alfa Romeo Junior - The "other" Mini {Autoblog Green}

Jul 10th 2007 10:00PM Interesting,
