Jul 18th 2008 10:53AM If louvers = speed, then this thing is going to clean up.

GT500KR underrated? 5.0 Mustang dyno tests the King of the Road {Autoblog}

Jul 16th 2008 12:17PM I'm just guessing, but I would be surprised if a drivetrain built to withstand the sort of torque that this car is churning out would only lose around 12-13%. Maybe a low-torque car like the S2000 would manage a 13% loss, but given the GT500KR's burly drivetrain, 15% seems like a pretty reasonable estimate.

Honda testing ABS brakes on CBR600RR {Autoblog}

Jun 14th 2008 12:19PM Maybe it's the traditionalist in me showing through, but I'm pretty cold to the idea of ABS on a sportbike. A motorcycle is one of the purest links between a rider and the road, and taking direct mechanical control away from the brakes has the potential to dilute the experience.

I'm not saying that I couldn't warm up to the idea, but I hope that Honda is able to absolutely nail the implementation.

Officially Official: 2009 Porsche 911 gets direct injection and dual-clutch gearbox {Autoblog}

Jun 6th 2008 9:50AM I tend to agree. As impressive as Godzilla is at pummelling lap times into submission, I'm more attracted by the 911's classic simplicity honed by decades of refinement. I'll take mine with a manual, please.

Who would have thought? Ford Racing has a sense of humor {Autoblog}

May 10th 2008 4:21PM The V6 does use an iron block, but a V6 Mustang is still nearly 100 lbs lighter than a GT. As a contrast to the 3523 lb curb weight from C&D I mentioned above, a 5-speed V6 only tips the scales at 3439 lbs (also according to C&D).
