Jul 18th 2008 4:12PM So you have nothing against electric cars, you're just taking the opportunity to bash GM.

So what was the whole sunlight thing... oh, nevermind.

Jul 18th 2008 4:00PM Declan, wouldn't an electric car work awfully well with solar panels that generate electricity? A plug-in electric car can plug-in to anything with an outlet. Including solar panels, wind turbines, hydroelectric, nuclear, etc.

I don't know where you got the "40 minutes" stat, but I'm guessing it we would need 100% efficient solar panels covering every square inch of the earth. I am curious though. Can you post a link?

Jul 18th 2008 3:51PM That's exactly the point. McCain is suggesting an incentive for individuals to chose a more fuel efficient vehicle.

This article is not about a mandatory CAFE standard that automakers have to meet.

2009 Mazda6 caught in the wild, sort of {Autoblog}

Jun 17th 2008 8:36AM I thought merc s-class too, but at least they're copying an expensive car...

I'll have to see it in person to make a judgment, but the pics do look promising. But if no manual, then screw you mazda. "Zoom-zoom" = sporty = manual. I will sue to have them officially change their slogan to "put-put".

In the Autoblog Garage: 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX vs. STI {Autoblog}

Mar 6th 2008 6:39PM I have to disagree with the WRX having a "firm" ride. It has MUCH more body roll than previous wrx's, and simply doesn't feel sharp at all. I assume the STI's a different story, but I haven't had the pleasure.
I agree that Subaru transmissions are sub-par. Yes, 5-speed is just not good enough anymore. Long, rubbery throw on the lever really doesn't help either. They need to get with the program here.
That said, I still bought one. I like the looks of the hatch, although I admit both the ms3 and a3 are better-looking. AWD and reliability were the biggest selling points for me, and I'm pretty sure I'll be able to "fix" the long, vauge shifter and unacceptable body roll.

Subaru's Senior suggests STI Junior {Autoblog}

Feb 7th 2008 5:31PM Amen! A WRX performance package with a firmer suspension, bolstered seats, and the STI transmission would be perfect. And sure, up the boost to Legacy GT levels while you're at it. :)

I don't need 305 HP and the ability to out-corner Porsches. But the WRX has lost it's sporting personality and it needs to get it back - even if it's only as an option.

Jan 9th 2008 1:57PM Get it to the showrooms! I need a new car now (mine is falling apart), and can't wait to see this.
I'll take the sportback in a manual, and I'd like it by Friday.
