Audi ready to milk A5 line with multiple versions {Autoblog}

Apr 25th 2007 11:52PM I read the test drive by AutoCar on the A5 diesel, and it was fantastic. I would love for that version of the car to come here. It was fan-freaking-tastic and I want one right now. Now if only Ford would bring their diesel passanger car here. However I do not think there should be a sportback version of the A5. There is no place for it. I love the idea of an A1 Mini-competitor though.

Apr 24th 2007 9:59PM #11 has it correct, you would have to be illiterate to think that supercharged engine has near the same hp and torque as the turbo. Though if the turbo engine does go into the Cobalt, I suspect it will be detuned a bit since it is going into a front wheel drive application, unless they do what Mazda did for the Mazdaspeed 3 (we had 3 when I sold Mazdas and they were great cars and fast sellers). Though the numbers the turbo lays down in a Cobalt SS would be far ahead of the supercharged version.

Apr 24th 2007 7:36PM #5 Many in the automotive press have speculated that the Cobalt will get a turbocharged engine for the next version of the SS

Apr 18th 2007 11:22PM I would love to see what they are doing with the engines, because the car should get more then a different body style, should update the engines with more power and fuel economy (not because people who buy the car can not afford the gas, but because many of them are tree huggers). The current engines are great, but I would love some improvments like direct injection, variable valve and cam timing. Adding some diesels would not hurt either, and keep inproving the hydrogen model.

Apr 18th 2007 11:15PM I can not believe they dropped the Yamaha V8. But then again, it makes a good business sense since Yamaha jacked up the price for the engine. Still, one of the Boss V8s should makes its way into an all wheel drive version of the vehicle. A 3.7 liter V6 is just not enough for this class of vehicle.

Apr 13th 2007 11:22AM The haters always come out when Ford does something to boost profits. The Mustang is a great vehicle, and people are not stupid, nor do they have low IQs for enjoying this vehicle. One could make the same claim about people who enjoy the Corvette and the Suburban, two vehicles whose nameplate has been on the market longer then the Mustang. If you do not like this article, my best suggestion would be to suck it up and go comment on something you do like. You would have to have too much free time on your hands to spend times making negative comments about an article you do not like.

Ford Edge sales gain momentum {Autoblog}

Apr 9th 2007 9:55PM Some people are always going to insult Ford, most are Japanese fan boys who wish the Japanese had conquered the world back during World War 2. As for the others, GM and Ford may compete sometimes, but rooting for one domestic over another seems trivial now that the Japanese companies are such a threat.

El Camino on the horizon again? {Autoblog}

Apr 9th 2007 9:38PM And next up Ford will bring the Aussie Falcon ute to the United States as the new Ranchero and it will be the 1960's and 70's again, except without disco (and thank G-d because I love the muscle cars from that era). I say bring it on GM, because your leading the way and maybe Ford will learn some tricks. I love the concetual art, but would love to see one in real life on the road (and of course get one with the Corvette 7 liter V8 ;) )
