Jeep Compass, Patriot getting freshened interiors {Autoblog}
Jan 21st 2008 6:24PM John, you left off a few other important stats from your HP list: RPM, tq, and EPA estimates. I have completed your list:
Sebring's 3.5, 235hp@6400, 232tq@4000, 16/26, 3959lbs
Sonata's 3.3, 234hp@6000, 226tq@3500, 20/30, 3458lbs
Malibu's 3.6, 252hp@6300, 251tq@3200, 17/26, n/a
Accord's 3.5, 268hp@6200, 248tq@5000, 19/29, 3567lbs
Camry's 3.5, 268hp@6200, 248tq@4700, 22/31, 3516lbs
Altima's 3.5, 270hp@6000, 258tq@4400, 22/28, 4586lbs
Sorry, I have to call this one out....only part of these gas mileage ratings are correct. The Sebring, Malibu, and Accord's are all the correct 2008 estimates. The rest are the old EPA estimates. Corrected versions are:
Camry's 3.5 auto- 19/28
Altima's 3.5 CVT- 19/26
Sonata's 3.5 auto- 19/28

Aug 24th 2007 5:55PM Does anyone remember the hatchback Civic Si from several years back??? I think that this looks almost exactly like it (like a bloated guppy).

Jul 20th 2007 2:56PM Looks like a bloated RAV4/new Highlander with a Nissan Armada interior...not exactly impressive for a $50K+ vehicle.
Scion xD gets stickered at $14,550* {Autoblog}
Jul 13th 2007 9:54PM To answer a previous question:
Old Honda Fit gas mileage for 5-spd manual is 33/38, automatic 31/38. 2008 figures to be 28/34 for manual, 27/35 auto. So the Scion's gas mileage numbers look to be pretty comparable.

Jul 26th 2006 7:39PM Maybe it's time Hyundai came up with a new luxury brand? They have certainly gained enough respect with buyers that it might work....

Jul 9th 2006 7:05PM That steering wheel from the Civic coupe is so ugly and it looks like a jock strap cup. Unfortunately it's beginning to find its way in a lot of other Honda vehicles...at least this has a non-digital speedometer readout.
Vehicles get safer, but crash fatalities climb {Autoblog}
Apr 28th 2006 9:23AM I think not only is it the distractions that we have nowadays, but I believe people are driving A LOT more aggressively. People drive their cars as if they were weapons of mass destruction! If there was a serious crackdown by law enforcement on aggressive driving I think you would see a drop in the death toll too. I know here in Tampa I NEVER see the police patrolling any of the side streets (state troopers do patrol the interstates on a regular basis however). I see more aggressive driving on the city streets than I do the interstate and there are definitely more fatal accidents on the city streets, so I think this is where the police really need to be in order to stop rising traffic fatalities.

Feb 9th 2006 7:16PM Why just mention the Civic in the headline??? It was just given "Best Small Car" award right? Big whoop! This is quite possibly the MOST overhyped car ever!!
