Ford confirms U.S. production of Euro Focus in 2010, delays new F-150 launch {Autoblog}

Apr 16th 2008 1:18PM Civic SI is a 3000000x better choice than this pile of garbage, for the same amount of money. What is the point of the Corolla? Its slow, ugly(i think it is, beauty is in the eye of the beholder), handles on par with a 3-legged donkey with tourettes, and most importantly: its a COROLLA!@#?!@#111111 I for one, would never, ever, ever buy any Corolla.

Mar 17th 2008 1:21PM There was a C30 parked at a dealer lot near my house for 26k. Now let me tell you what it had...a bottle holder, and that's it. Why would I go out and buy a car for 26k that has absolutely nothing, not even cruise control? Why would I get this over a GTI or even the WRX hatch? Its not just the price of this car that kills it, its the fact that this isn't a car you would want to buy, and if you lease it, its over $420 a month. I would rather have a WRX for less than $300/month. The WRX is AWD, is faster and with a grille swap looks alright. The GTI comes with HIDs, 6 CD changer and other things that you have to pay extra to get on the C30. And the GTI is cheaper to boot. The car is nice but the price isn't.

Feb 11th 2008 1:59PM In the words of Charles Barkley: "That just crazy, thats turrible".
Another entry into deathtrap/crapmobile category...woohoo. I would rather drive a slightly larger and more powerful compact car while getting worse fuel economy than to be stuck in that thing. For 14k you would probably not get much, and options to get power operated things and a steering wheel would drive the price up to compete with more desirable compact cars.
I personally believe that sub-compacts are utterly useless, except if you get the base model and then you just have a steel box on wheels with two strings used to turn the wheels.
Rumormill: Solstice to get G6 GXP-look schnoz? {Autoblog}
Nov 20th 2007 1:02PM The Solstice could have a more aggressive face, however I'm quite happy with the current look. If GM does decide to make the Solstice more aggressive, hopefully they don't take inspiration with the tragedy we all know as the G6 GXP.

Want to save the world? Buy a HUMMER {Autoblog}
Oct 31st 2007 12:58PM I would like to see a truck become a rescue vehicle where you need to put a stretcher in the back...hah!
I have seen videos of H2s doing some pretty serious rock-crawling at Moab. Let's see a Prius or other tiny car do that.
Personally, I don't see how a small car would be more utilitarian at saving people in disaster zones. Sure the Hummer has gas saving issues, but a large gas tank and possibly the addition of diesel engine would translate these H2s from being gas hogs to real-life saviors of people in distress.
Point being, a small car is never getting through the rough terrain a Hummer can get through, thereby not being able to access the distressed individual.
Volkswagen Touareg R50: Stump pulling in style {Autoblog}
Oct 9th 2007 3:06PM SUVs are not pointless. The reason being is that people use them for pointless things, such as puttering about town and wasting countless amounts of fuel. But in true form, SUVs are used as an offroad terrain engulfing machine. Sure, you could say that trucks will also do the job, but I would rather drive an SUV than a truck.
On the other hand, this R50 looks pretty cool. Would I buy one? No.

Sep 24th 2007 2:43PM I completely agree. While Mitsu strived for a better car, Subaru degraded it's Impreza by creating an ugly Corolla with no new technologies, at least not in the mainstream cars.
As on the Mistu, I wish they had good residual value on their cars so they could lease better, because thats what i do, i lease.
