May 5th 2006 2:34PM gbh, i guess they went to community college then? i work 30 hours a week at an IT job and go to a major ACC university. after tuition, food, apt rent, car payment + insurance, i barely have another dime to spare..let alone throw away in (often overpriced) tuning or other automotive modification. besides, the people you mentioned are the exception not the norm. owning a saturn sky in college is an unreasonable expectation for the majority of college students, IMO.

May 5th 2006 1:53PM Since when can a college kid afford a brand new Saturn Sky? I drove a '89 Honda Accord with power windows (all broken) and duct tape holding on the side molding in college. I'm sick of seeing rich ass frat boys driving around in 350Z's or Bimmers. Guess I just can't stand being spood fed everything like a baby...I actually like to work/earn my more glamorous possessions.

Find someone to illegally get it over here by boat from japan...buy a wrecked nissan maxima frame and get the car registered using that vin and info. i live in SC, so there are no registration checks or emmisions testing...if a cop were to pull me over (hasn't happened yet) then I would just tell him it is a maxima with a full body kit and right hand drive conversion, if he even knew to ask about that stuff which he probably wouldn't.

Mar 3rd 2006 1:32PM Worst idea ever. Not only is it a terrible idea to begin with, though it may sound good in concept to some, the execution is always horrible, and it has been done by numerous people in the past.
I first saw this company when they painted the 2nd gen Toyota MR2.
I hope he only drives it at night...if he takes this thing out in the sunlight I pray for other citizens sake that they all own polarized sunglasses.

Mar 1st 2006 9:12AM LOL brian, thats a great idea, seriously...a techno-geek car specifically targetting the .com, geeky tech guys, sci-fi guys, etc. i wonder if there is a big enough niche there..probably not...still that is a funny proposition. i could see some of the crazy potential aftermarket mods...that would be awesome if nissan came out with software that had like on-the-fly vehicle monitoring statistics...or like a dumbed down AI version of kit from knight rider lol....
Can you see it now? Picture a sophisticated female voice coupled with simple voice recognition software and preprogrammed responses....
Car: "Please State the Password."....
Me: "C-2-9-7-X-0-R".....[delay].....[Car Starts]...
Car: "Welcome Christopher, How are You Doing Today?"
Me: "Very well, Thank You."
Car: "Please State Your Intended Destination."
Me: "Work."...[Car loads up (pre-configured by me) directions on the navi screen]....
I'd set up a custom program so that when I said "Slashdot" the voice recognition software would pull the top 5 slashdot headlines or so and read them back to me. ahahahah damn you brian...thoughts of this are gonnna be in my head all day...
Geneva Motor Show: Honda Civic Type R Concept world debut {Autoblog}
Feb 28th 2006 4:31PM I am the biggest import fan as they come...I drive a '94 Toyota MR2 and my family owns nothing but Honda and Toyotas. I've owned 2 civics, one of which was highly modified and another DC integra which was also highly modified (mechanically, not exterior/aesthetics). That being said, I find this car incredibly ugly. My God, it actually made me physically cringe upon site of it. The cuts and headlight/taillight designs are cool but the overall egg shape just doesn't fit my mental image of the Type-R philosophy (despite hatchback tradition). My point is--there is only so far (exterior design wise) you can take the hatchback design. I always rag on the domestic manufacturers for their horrible styling choices (IMHO of course) but this is inexcusable. The last civic si (also the hatchback variety, also ugly egg shaped) and this design are a complete disaster. I'm dissapointed in Honda.
