More details on VW's design renaissance {Autoblog}
Jul 23rd 2008 9:42AM Awesome. I can't stand the look of the post 2005 VWs. They all look the same as each other, and they all look the same as the rest of the crap out there. Before 05, when you saw a Jetta, or Passat, you knew that it was a VW car. Now, you can't tell them apart from Honda's, Toyota's, or any others.
Nintendo: no fridge updates planned {Nintendo Wii Fanboy}
Jul 16th 2008 7:35PM Ugh, no, we want a storage solution so we DON'T have to redownload it again. And what happens when the servers go offline forever? We lose what we paid for? Screw that. Give us a HD!!!
E308: Reggie baffled by outcry over conference {Nintendo Wii Fanboy}
Jul 16th 2008 1:28PM I wanted at least upcoming support for a USB HD, if not a Nintendo branded one.
Nyko guitar compatibility information {Joystiq}
Jul 16th 2008 9:06AM Its not just Activision's fault. Harmonix insists on using THEIR standard, instead of working with Activision to use another standard. Just look at the situation on the Wii, where nothing was stopping Harmonix from using the GH3 guitar except their insistance to use Harmonix's own proprietary standard.
Joystiq interviews Rock Band 2's Dan Teasdale {Joystiq}
Jul 16th 2008 9:03AM "We're keeping our open standard, we want people to have a choice. "
Notice that is THEIR open standard, not an open standard.
An of course he completely glosses over the gimped Wii. It sounds like they will continue to offer a gimped Wii port. Unlike Activision- who actually cares about Wii owners- Harmonix continues to spit in our faces.

Jul 15th 2008 2:38PM No Hard Drive? Ugh.
Sonic Unleashed deets reveal more on level design {Nintendo Wii Fanboy}
Jul 14th 2008 9:00PM Is it really too much to ask to have a Sonic version of Mario Galaxy running through the Green Hill zone? That's all I want. And update of the classic game.
E308: Rock Band 2 track list is better than we imagined {Nintendo Wii Fanboy}
Jul 14th 2008 5:05PM I'm going to have to agree with you. RB1 and GH3 were much better tracklist wise. And I highly doubt Harmonix is going to treat Wii owners any better this time around.
Bon Jovi and others confirmed for Rock Band 2 {Nintendo Wii Fanboy}
Jul 11th 2008 5:36PM Yeah, definitely color me meh about this. The tracklist is nothing to get excited about (other than a few songs, Give it Away and White Wedding really). The drums don't sound like much of an upgrade, except for copying Activision. And who knows how much of this applies to the Wii version anyway? Screw it, I'm getting GH:WT. I'm definitely glad I didn't pick up Rock Band for the Wii, since the next version won't be any better anyway. I can save my money for a company who actually cares about the Wii.
Oh no he didn't: Microsoft man dubs Wii a novelty {Nintendo Wii Fanboy}
Jul 7th 2008 7:28PM Another clueless MS exec, trying to ignore how his division continues to bleed cash, especially with the 20% failure rate of the 360's hardware.
Sure, a bunch of people may buy the Wii for parties. But there are a ton of hardcore gamers out their who buy the Wii for gaming: Twilight Princess, Glaxy, Battalion Wars, Brawl, Zach and Wiki, Mario Kart, Rayman, even Guitar Hero 3. These are all games that can and are played alone.
The Wii was the first console I bought since the Genesis, and that's because the gameplay and controls are so innovative and fun. Yes, its a great party system, but its also a great single player gaming system. And I play by myself a lot (much to my finance's chagrin).
I'm not taking away that the XBox 360 is a good gaming system as well, but it comes at a much higher price with traditional controls. The Wii is different, and in my opinion, much better.
