Ford trucks show up in Tundra commercial {Autoblog}
Mar 5th 2007 11:59AM Aww shucks! That F-150 is like a 1992! It also wasn't on the See-saw with 10,000lbs behind it. It was there just to build the ramp and witness the results.

Please put someone with an unbias opinion in charge of the blogs for Toyota news. It is obvious that John Neff is NEVER going to say anything favorable about Toyotas.
As for his fans, stop playing like you are as dumb as he is about the Toyota influence on the American Auto Market.
FYI, Load up a Camry Hybrid with all the bells and whistles (leather, heated seats, nav, etc.) and it will cost you just under $31K. The main difference will be the badging and the special color! Goofball!!
Toyota Tundra starts at $22,395 (and BTW, it tows 10,800 lbs.) {Autoblog}
Jan 25th 2007 2:44PM I think it is fitting that there is such a frenzy related to the Domestics vs Tundra. There has been an obvious trickle down effect. I can appreciate the loyalty of the domestic fans. On the other hand, I can understand where your fear of the Tundra comes from.
*The 07 Chevy Silverado was originally set to be released in Feb/March of 07 UNTIL they began to hear/see about the new generation Tundra. Hence the late 06 release. It was Truck of the Year BEFORE the Tundra was unveiled.
*Ford miraculously found more towing capacity in their F-150 the actually day that Toyota released their capacities. They also have a $3000 rebate tied to their truck now. You mean you will pay me to take your brand new, "best truck ever built"? WTF?!
As far as the pricing goes, the Tundra may be priced higher but there is a considerable difference in standard features, not to mention the QUALITY. Who else has standard side airbags, 18 inch wheels, etc?
Bottom line is...The Big 3 is terrified of the Tundra. If nothing else...this will force the domestics to step up their game and stop cutting corners.
Denial is the first sign of a problem! Stop denying that the Tundra is a wake up call for the American truck market!

Jan 24th 2007 7:05PM If you are a fan of dookie trucks and negative equity...go ahead, buy yourself one of those DoMexico trucks.
None of the domexico trucks have the quality that Toyota provides. Take a trip to Princeton, Indiana or San Antonio, TX and talk to some of the production workers. See what they have to say about the way they are treated in a Toyota plant. Then, go to Detroit and talk to anyone in any plant and see what they have to say good (besides their awesome healthcare plan) about the way they are treated.
Makes you wonder why a company that builds cars spends 3 times as much deniro in Healthcare than they do in STEEL.

Jan 18th 2007 4:33PM Ok. Why don't you answer some of these questions? Tundra or Silverado:
More TORQUE at a lower RPM?
STANDARD with side curtain airbags?
Brake assist/EBD standard?
4 wheel DISC brakes standard?
Longest wheelbase?
More shoulder/leg room?
Best ground clearance?
Tightest turning radius?
Largest standard wheels?
4 piston brake calipers?
Towing capacity?
Future quizzes to come. Good luck.
