New York 2008: Top debuts of the show (w/ Poll) {Autoblog}

Mar 22nd 2008 9:27PM It's obviously the Genesis coupe, the impact this car will have is major. RWD, Turbo or 300Hp and manual trans, all around $25K. This car effects far more people with its perfomance and price than any other debut at the show.

Mar 20th 2008 10:33PM While , I'm definitely not a GT-R fanboys, I'll let you guys be happy in lighter, slower track cars. What the hell does light have to do with the equation if it kicks other cars asses all over that track. Not by small margins. How did they do it?! Really who cares it works with they do give you an even lighter GT-R, you can cry some more when they extend their lead. I dont get you guys some times. The same people arguing that the car is too big were the same people screaming blood murder when the Porsche fanboys said the Z06 is a less sophisticated and harder car to drive, even though it beat the 911 turbo in test after test. Tables have turned and the GT-R isnt good enough, because it weighs more, nevermind that just shamed so called world class supercars.

Mar 20th 2008 9:10PM Its obvious they're trying to catch the dissappointed would be buyers of the VW GX3 and vehicle immediately reminds you of that concept. Even the headlights have some semblance to the GX3. The chrome is what sets it apart from the VW though, its not very sporty ,but like the engine, more Harley. The most crucial and agruably the only mistake on this vehicle is the price tag of $40000. What got people excited about the GX3 was the under $20000 price point. That would make it accessible to almost anyone. I know they are a small manufacturer and there is only so much they can do as far as cost cutting ,but a better price target would have been under $30 grand. That would have taken many prospective T-Rex buyers and brought into the sight of a possible bigger manufacturer who could've gotten better suppliers and brought the price down even more.

Mar 5th 2008 7:39PM If they brought this over here with the proper safety appointments, Smart would flip. Imagine a brand new car for $5000 bucks that gets hybrid like gas mileage. This car would take profits from almost every car manufacturers. Fleet sales would be off the charts! I know American like their big cars ,but the senitment is changing as the population grows, gas prices rise and Americans now have to compete against a neverending onslaugt of emerging economies. Wow, the information age is crazy.

Feb 16th 2008 9:46AM $200 on the black market my ass. You can get a brand new cat for that price. A friend I work with had tech and Toyota tell her she was going to need a new cat. He said it would be $800, his explanation was,"Its got platinum and stuff in it" Oh, and that was only the price of the part, installation would bring the grand total to $1100 This was for a 2002 Corolla, she told me that and I laughed my ass off. I told her to call anything muffler shop in the phone book and I bet it not going to come close to $500 with labor. She got quoted $360 on the first call. I guess platinum is only that expensive at a dealership LOL.
