Beware of Dog: Mallett reveals Pitbull Edition V8 Solstice {Autoblog}
May 3rd 2007 5:49PM @iddqd
I shouldn't have to prove to you that I meet your definition of beauty, especially in a car.
What I'm saying is that Mallett took a car that needed little in the way of tweaking in terms of style and tried to morph it into a car it's not. It's not the concept, it's the execution. You're welcome to your own opinion but I don't think you have the right to question mine.
Beware of Dog: Mallett reveals Pitbull Edition V8 Solstice {Autoblog}
May 2nd 2007 6:04PM Fugly. Thats the best word for it.
Mallett should have just been content to drop a V8 and put *subtle* styling cues to differentiate the difference.
VIDEO: Bugatti Veyron and Ferrari F40 {Autoblog}
Apr 25th 2007 9:10PM Easy choice....Veyron all the way baby.
The Veyron is all about refinement and comfort while the F40 wouldn't be comfortable to tool around in all day long. If you're looking for a car that would be a great cruiser, you're better off with the Veyron than the Ferrari.
Of course, a 612 Scag would be a better comparison to the Veyron, in terms of function.
IIHS names Chevrolet Blazer most likely to kill {Autoblog}
Apr 19th 2007 7:12PM That's funny, because my sister was in a particular nasty accident a few years ago in her Blazer. She got caught between a guy stopped at a light and a fully loaded 10 wheel Sterling dumptruck. The Blazer took the front bumper of the dumptruck in the tailgate at no less than 40 miles per hour. One of the cops at the scene later told her that she was extremely lucky she was driving such a hardy SUV, she escaped with only a minor case of whiplash.
Ford officially announces GT500 Red-Stripe package {Autoblog}
Apr 19th 2007 7:09PM I too wondered how there was a connection between Ford and the ubiquitous Jamaican beer company, and was dismayed when 'Red Stripe' actually described something as pedestrian as just the color of the stripe.
How is this a 'special' edition?

Apr 10th 2007 9:44PM I've seen bungs put in backyard style where the flat spot on a round pipe was made by sanding down a thick nylon washer to match the radius of the pipe, kind of a curve-to-flat adapter. They spray painted em to match the pipe and then sealed em with silicon sealant. Looks factory but costs pennies.
Paul the Detailer strikes again - this time on a Bugatti Veyron {Autoblog}
Apr 10th 2007 8:53PM This is the car that also did the Italy to London race on Top Gear (twice, since they drove it there again for filming reasons!) so thats a fair share of the miles there.
I think Car and Driver also tested at Ehra Lessein (the track that May drove it at) and I'm pretty sure that car was the blue and black one as well.
