Jul 27th 2006 12:09PM 15. Now I'm with the tree huggers on this one. Do we really need another SUV? Especially for some rich bastard that could give a damn about anyone but him/herself. I mean, really? In light of our rising gas prices, I think we've turned out more SUV's in the past two years than years prior.

Jul 16th 2006 11:23AM 13. umm... so how long has it been that vehicles with automatics have required you to push the brake pedal before shifting out of Park? It seems to me that it's been quite a while... which suggests that perhaps this truck wasn't QUITE in Park when the officer hopped out. I don't think Ranger can reach the brake pedal while he's pulling down the gear selector.

there was an incident in minneapolis where a police van got knocked out of park and ran over some pedestrians. they found that the shift interlock could be released by the flashing brake lights just the same as it could by stepping on the brake pedal.
