9ff proves the GT9 is stupid fast, tops 253 mph {Autoblog}
May 12th 2008 11:27AM I actually preferred the moon discs.
Everyone seems to constantly forget that the Veyron is 1. Electronically limited to 253mph, not drag limited; it'll go faster 2. It has NEVER actually been tested with the speed limiter removed 3. The Veyron was designed for these speeds, every other car that is attempting to match or beat it is a modified example with the maker trying to show how big his "stick" is. If you want to fight fire with fire, lets put the Veyron in the hands of a Tuner and see who can catch it then. The W16 is under much less stress (regardless of the low vibration of a flat engine) because it has to make less horsepower per cylinder. If you want to match it cylinder for cylinder with this, the Veyron would be making near 3000hp. Let's see this little tuner car catch it then.
Snake Skin Green Hennessey Venom 1000TT up for sale {Autoblog}
May 12th 2008 11:15AM Hennessey has long since rebuilt his company and his reputation. He screwed up in the past, he has made amends with those he wronged, get over it or go somewhere else. The only ones that continue to bash him are those that couldn't afford to buy the man's shoelaces.
He gets reported on because he makes the best, the fastest, and the most reliable cars. With numbers to back them up. Holds numerous records and does actual testing. Hell his headquarters are now on a racetrack. Everyone else says their cars are better but none stand up to the hype.
2008 Corvette 427 Limited Edition Z06: Big engine, big price, small run {Autoblog}
Feb 14th 2008 8:59AM With the way they are going the Corvette is going to be as thinly spread as the Mustang. There are seemingly endless variations and "special editions" of the Mustang and it appears they are doing the same with this. Sad really.

Toyota has no intention of meeting with union organizers {Autoblog}
Aug 30th 2007 8:27AM If you read and pay attention you will notice what I said.
I said temps are hired to take up the slack. When a line isn't producing what it is supposed to produce because the full time workers aren't working hard enough you have to hire temp workers to fill in the gap that the full time workers have created by not doing their jobs to the fullest.
It is a full time worker's laziness that causes the necessity of temp workers. So because you don't do your job good enough your company has to hire temps. If you worked harder, as hard as you are supposed to work, then they wouldn't need a temp to pick up the slack that you create.

Aug 29th 2007 12:29PM Correct, unions were a very good thing once upon a time. But times have changed, unions are outdated and filled with people that want to cling to the old ways of making money because they don't have the ability to adapt.
Temp workers are a necessary evil. When the day comes that a full time worker can be expected to provide the same amount of work everyday temp workers will no longer be applicable, but since you have your good days and your lazy days there is going to continue to be temp workers to pick up the slack that you are creating.

Aug 29th 2007 9:21AM I applaud Toyota for this. Unions are pointless, they do no good whatsoever, and are just another way of someone else making money off of you and not doing a single thing for you despite promises to do so.
It's like a mini government, looks good, doesn't work.
