Green Genesis Coupe shows up, 286 hp turbo DI engine nearby? {Autoblog}
May 6th 2008 9:48PM I'm sorry guys but doesn't the solstice coupe count as a small 4cyl rwd coupe...?
Now hear this! There will be no M version of the BMW X5 {Autoblog}
Apr 11th 2008 8:19PM True, the current gas prices and emissions standards basically require that hi-po cars go forced induction. I hope to see well executed m turbos soon. but as for the high revving v10...great engine, just not suited to an suv seeing as it has about 380tq at a relatively high rpm.

Apr 11th 2008 4:44PM Could've called this, there is no way the torqueless (by comparison) v10 could power such a heavy suv.

Apr 5th 2008 2:15AM Damn good read both Autoblog and the vette forum. Personally I would give up some numbers to have a V8 roar, a manual tranny, and the ability to do donuts at will (RWD). But that's just me.
Jeep Performance may offer diesel engine swap kit for Wrangler {Autoblog}
Mar 14th 2008 2:58PM Less efficient due to the rise in diesel fuel cost and the initial price to buy. It takes a very VERY long time to recoop those costs, so for your general person who drives a car 80k miles (I suppose), diesel is LESS efficient dollar per mile.

Mar 13th 2008 6:50PM If you want a vehicle and are concerned about fuel mileage more than capability (or cost), by all means buy a diesel wrangler...
But frankly, people who own wranglers shouldn't concern themselves with fuel economy...or else they should buy a hybrid...not a wrangler. That and with modern requirements diesel has become less efficient than gas.
The 4.0L gas I6 can handle a level of punishment that would blow almost any other engine out of the water . That's the engine that belongs in the JK, not a 3.8L Pacifica engine, and not a diesel that is unproven.

Mar 12th 2008 2:38AM I think the Mako shark styled c3's are the sexiest vettes ever. The living definition of "stingray". And I have tried such a thing with an 80's car..brutal to say the least...make sure you know who owned it...because wow I got burned (12 hours Pittsburgh to Philly thanks to exhaust manifold/turbo gasket and inter-cooler issues). But Never discount the C3, it was a great vette...better than the c4 at least (though no vette is a bad vette).
Though it is always an adventure to bring a car such a distance.

Mar 11th 2008 6:23PM I completely agree with you Scott, perhaps I typed without thinking about the Ford employee rights part...which truly did involve Ford doing the right thing by allowing such benefits.
