Blizzard's splash screen changes for June 27th: A "Lost" penguin and Death Knight imagery {WOW Insider}
Jun 27th 2008 6:58AM i dont think it's Arthas tbh. if you look at the brow area, that's definately not the same as the area shown on Arthas' helmet (just compare it to the image on the WoW/Wrath site) - his helmet has one large plate that extends further, and is much wider.
Blizzard teaser image is mysterious, evolving {Joystiq}
Jun 25th 2008 10:51AM silly question, but has anyone put it through a stenography application yet ?
i'm thinking "I Love Bees"... maybe a small attempt at an ARG ?
Fake guilds in WoW {WOW Insider}
Jun 8th 2008 5:29PM they've played you right into their hands.
they've annoyed you so much you've posted this "rant". that's what they want.
you made an epic fail i'm afraid.
Police break up Bugatti vs. Ferrari street race in UK {Autoblog}
Jun 5th 2008 5:38AM this section is currently undergoing major road development, and is heavily controlled by average speed camera systems. it's safe to say the police knew exactly where to get onto the road and at what speed to be able to pull them over successfully.
also, just down the road from me :D
More calls for midlevel content, the return {WOW Insider}
Jun 2nd 2008 3:36PM sorry, i disagree with the arguement.
if you play Halo 3 on easy and complete it, do you complain because the game is the same on Medium, Hard or Legendary ? no, you play the same levels again, and do the same moves.
why should this be any different from an MMO ? providing more end game experiences is preferable in my eyes, cos there are more likely more people raiding than rolling full time alts.
Gearing a Holy priest for Karazhan, part one {WOW Insider}
Jun 2nd 2008 2:58AM interesting. i did some of my first Kara runs in just quest blues :D
slowly moved up to T4 items, and then started replacing it with badge loot.
i agree about healing 5 man heroics being harder than healing 10 man Karazhan - it's the joy of having someone else there healing when you drop the ball or miss click !
Breakfast Topic: Silly, unconventional, and amazing dungeon runs {WOW Insider}
May 27th 2008 8:43AM hmm, let me see.
5 man paladin epic mount run in Scholo with 5 paladins pre TBC
5 man warlock epic mount run in Dire Maul with 5 warlocks post TBC. fun with 5 enslaved felguards !
aggroing the whole of RFC with my 70 affliction lock, including all the bosses and then blowing them all up with SoC. took the guy i was boosting longer to loot all the corpses than it did to kill them all.
ZA timed runs with only 2 healers.
kara with no CC.
MrT with a DPS warrior as tank.
8 manning MC and BWL post TBC.
chain pulling through heroic Mech with no mana breaks.
there's loads - and there will be loads to come :D
Ask WoW Insider: Making friends on a new server {WOW Insider}
May 19th 2008 11:11AM i've found that the best thing to do is not transfer server unless you really really have to. i moved from a server i'd been on for about a year where i had a load of friends, to a new TBC server. since there, i've moved through practically all the high end guilds, and have made a load of friends which i would never be able to transfer away from. more so than i used to have on my previous server.
but yeah, be nice, join in with the banter. dont feel that you have to stay out of conversations just because you're the new member.
additionally, i've found a simple /wave towards guildies when you see them in capital cities goes a long long way, as does random buffs and such.
i'm a healer, and have met a lot of people by randomly organising healing competitions. seeing who can do a 12k crit heal on a lock or something, and then giving them a big chunk of change if they beat the amount. works really well and brings in a lot of humour and conversation.
just be nice - think of all the things you'd like to see in a friend on WoW, and then offer that out to everyone else. you'll soon find that a lot of people will come to the opinion that you are a nice person to talk to, helpful, understanding etc and want to know you.
and remember, you dont always have to talk WoW all the time. asking people how their weekends went, or remembering where people are going when they're off for a few days and asking how it was when they get back. basically all the stuff you do for your IRL friends, but on WoW instead :D
good luck mate, it'll all fall into place !

Spiritual Guidance: 30 If statements that Priests should adhere to {WOW Insider}
May 8th 2008 4:15AM @6 - what happens if you've had a particularly bad fight, say on someone like Vashj or something higher, more than half your healing team has been killed due to aggro control issues... do you still refuse to be bubble-renew'd because the healing:member ratio is severely imbalanced ? even if said bubble-renew lets the healer drop a heal onto another key member of the raid (everyone is key) knowing full well he/she has time to then revert back to healing you if needed ?
and you wonder why there's a lack of healers, it's because of people like you who call us "nubs" no matter what we do.
