Audi A4 TDI goes over 900 miles on one tank of fuel {Autoblog Green}

Mar 19th 2008 5:57AM Come on now people. I live in the United States (CA) and Diesel is a measly 20c more /gal than Premium which I use already. Soooo... For a 15 gal tank that's only $3 lousy dollars more expensive. I can get about 25 mpg with my current gas guzzler on a good day and with a diesel not only will I get 40+ mpg but when the Audi Diesel comes to the US it will have the larger 6 cyl 3.0 TDI engine with 450ft/lbs torque. This has already been announced by Audi USA for the Q7 and A4. Only VW will get the smaller 2.0TDI 4 cyl in the U.S. So give me that massive torque + 40mpg and I'll happily pay the measly $3 charge per tank.

Audi considering separate U.S. assembly plant {Autoblog}

Mar 6th 2008 11:28AM "Audis terrible reliability"? I guess Mercedes at #36 out of 36 possible earned the right to build a plant in the U.S.???

BTW - Audi was number 12 out of 36 - tied with Infiniti.

Audi considering separate U.S. assembly plant {Autoblog}

Mar 6th 2008 11:25AM Come on now... Audi has beat ALL European vehicles in Consumer Reports review of most reliable cars in 2006. Ask me where Mercedes was??? Yup dead last - #36 out of 36. VW even beat them. Get the facts. Audi is a premium brand and here to stay. Why else are they breaking records and about to hit 100k cars here? The R8 and the new S5 have received incredible reviews. I now own an S5 - incredible car and the 3 series nor the C class come even remotely close.

Mar 6th 2008 11:21AM Wow that was one of the most ignorant comments Ive ever seen. You obviously haven't been anywhere out of Kansas, or you would see that your comment couldnt be further from the truth. Audi is the #1 luxury brand in Europe, doing incredible in China and India. Even in the US, its sales have increased every single year. I traded in my BMW for an Audi and will NEVER look back.

Detroit 2008: Volkswagen unveils the Passat CC {Autoblog}

Jan 13th 2008 4:37PM Actually it does have much more technology than the A4 and I dont agree, the A4 has truly ground breaking technology with the Dynamic adjustment of ride,steering,engine response via the MMI system. BMW, Merc, nor Lex have anything like it. Back to the Passat, it has a slew of features that nobody (including the A4) have.

(1)Front Assist. (1) AAC Auto Distance Control. (3)Lane Assist and In the pictures from the link it looks to be a great looking vehicle. If 1/2 the price of the Merc CLS, I would consider it.

Detroit 2008: Volkswagen unveils the Passat CC {Autoblog}

Jan 13th 2008 3:23PM I find it amazing that so many people can write off a car without having seen it or having read the posted article. It's a VW so it will be reasonably priced - maybe a few grand more than the current Passat. The features that this car has is excellent. You wont find the same features on any German car for less than 80k (if they even have it) and no Japanese car has them yet either. This car has some amazing technology and if reliability of the current Passat is anything to go by, it will be just fine according to Consumer Reports. It's not a Phaeton, it will do well for half the price of a Mercedes, at least for us average people.

Mysteriously burnt Audi revealed to be V10 RS8 {Autoblog}

Nov 27th 2007 4:41PM OLD OLD NEWS... We've known it was a test mule and that it was a hopped up (likely V10) version. Great to hear that they are thoroughly testing these on a track before going into production stages - that is what a test-mule is for...

Kudos to Audi for taking a bold leap from their usual A8 and A6 luxury sedans. I am enjoying reading about every new vehicle that Audi produces and look forward to that rumored R8 V10 roadster that will be at Detroit... (thumbs up!)

VW's Up! could be coming to the States {Autoblog}

Sep 15th 2007 8:36PM Jorge I agree with all of your comments.

To add to that, the United States is full of a bunch of overweight, egocentric, spoiled brats that would rather drive their rediculous oversized, gas guzzling SUVs down the street at the cost of the rest of the world. They think they are entitled to have gas that is cheaper and if it ever rises over 5.00 gal, prepare to see more wars courtesy of "for the people by the people". The government just follows the wishes of the people that vote for them. Just wait until this housing ordeal unravels and puts the economy in the drain. Sad thing is that once again, the U.S. people that never take responsibility for their own actions will impact economies in the rest of the world too...
