Top Gear USA free to criticize cars at will {Autoblog}

Jun 23rd 2008 2:34PM That wasn't top Gear, that was from Clarkson's own video, "the good, the bad and the ugly"

Aussies announce Australian Top Gear hosts, where's ours? {Autoblog}

May 28th 2008 8:53PM Rolls Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin, Lotus, Caterham, Ariel, Noble etc. Your point? American cars get slated on top gear because the few American cars that have been without exported to Europe in the last 50 years have been without exception, unmitigated crap. It'll take a while for that memory to fade.

May 19th 2008 7:06AM They did have these on Akkaris, they were called windtraps. Just read the original again, Its amazing how influential it was, star wars would have been very different without Dune. A gifted youngster from a desert planet, trained in the way of a mystic cult, rises up to defeat an evil galactic empire, and finds out that is mortal enemy is a close relative. George Lucas borrowed all the cool bits but left out the hard sci-fi and eco-message. If you like Star Wars, read the Dune series, its Star Wars for grownups!

How would you change GamePark's GP2X F-200 handheld? {Engadget}

Apr 20th 2008 8:33AM I don't understand the fuss about the lack of internal battery. My gp2x lasts about 4-hours on decent nimhs, and when they are flat I just swap them for the ones in the charger, and I can carry spares in my pocket, I never need to be on the end of a wire. I would like to see a proper GPU, so it could pull off decent PSX emulation, that would make it a real psp rival. And wireless. And USB host mode. I do love the fact I can carry round every SNES and Genesis game ever made on a single SD card, plus a movie.

Apr 8th 2008 12:53PM its 50-150 meters underground. Thats more than plenty to stop any particle escaping, a couple of meters is enough for the job. Its so deep to prevent far more energetic particles from space from interfering with the experiments

Apr 8th 2008 12:27PM I'd like to know if he can pick up a wireless signal. I'd be very dubious about putting my laptop anywhere near something like that, the EMP must be terrific!

Vantage Point: Aston Martin Vantage V12 prototype spied {Autoblog}

Apr 2nd 2008 2:14PM Fantastic car, but its still not the most powerful production aston ever. That honour falls to the 1997 Vantage v600, which put out 600bhp with 600lbs/ft of torque!

3D VisWall makes scientists drool, your flat-panel weep {Engadget}

Apr 1st 2008 1:39PM Hmm. My college has had one of these for months now, I've seen 3d images of the sun in near real-time, its awesome to see, about 6 foot across, floating in front of your eyes, with flares spewing off its surface. You still have to wear those dorky LCD specs though. We also have a 360 projector dome, you can explore star maps, zoom in, its like a planetarium on steroids. I believe the whole caboodle cost £12 million...
