Spy Video: Jaguar XF-R caught on tape {Autoblog}
Aug 22nd 2008 7:13PM I think you missed the lead story here. The XF wasn't the car they were trying to hide - they were just using it to shield the black next-generation XJ mule running behind it. That car appeared to be a current XJ body sporting the front end of the radical new large body Jag that will launch in 2010.
J.D. Power: Hybrids losing popularity to diesels {Autoblog Green}
Jul 18th 2007 8:54PM "The reason diesels own Europe is due to favorable tax treatment"
Diesel tax incentives? You must be kidding. The US gevernment has offered up to $3400 in tax credit support for your Rube Goldberg device hybrid vehicles. A number of states offer thousands in additional tax credits.
Regarding fuel economy, find me the Prius that gets what a Prius is supposed to get...
If you're really concerned about environmental impact, what's the impact of all those broken and worn out hybrids (plus batteries) going to the scrap pile, while clean diesels will be still rolling after hundreds of thousands of miles?
New car buyers: diesels, yes, hybrids, hmm... {Autoblog}
Jul 17th 2007 8:07PM Hybrids are ok, but as time passes they're going to look more like complex, expensive to maintain Rube Goldberg devices. Clean diesel can provide the same kind of fuel efficiency (30-50% compared to comparable conventional gasoline engines) with a much more elegant (simple) technical solution. As anyone who has experienced them can testify, there is no appreciable downside from the standpoint of driveability perfromance. That, I suspect will bear the test of time.
Mystery JDM car caught in downtown LA {Autoblog}
Dec 18th 2006 8:18PM It has been written that this is a JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) vehicle. During my visits to Japan one notices how narrow the vehicles are - to enable them to fit through extremely congested driving environments. Looking at the width of this vehicle, it's hard to imagine that it was designed with the Japanese market in mind.

Dec 18th 2006 4:13PM Parked next to LR3? Right hand drive? Oval-shaped badge? Maybe that oval will be green, rather than blue... Could this be Land Rover's answer to Hummer H3 & H4? Landy's US sales & marketing offices are in southern Cal. Still, that huddle of guys talking in the foreground don't look British to me...
