In the Autoblog Garage: 2008 MINI Cooper Clubman {Autoblog}
May 23rd 2008 3:17PM Good review. I've always liked the MINI but couldn't justify such a small car with two kids to haul around, but the Clubman looks like a near-perfect fit . . . if the @#%$! motor didn't require premium fuel. That's pretty much a deal-killer right now.

May 15th 2008 6:27PM Yes--if anything, Lightning is embellishing his 0-60 time.
Popular Mechanics published a comparison test between a production Chevy Monte Carlo and a then-Winston Cup Monte Carlo race car in 2002. Although a bit old, the basic specs of the Sprint Cup cars haven't changed much, and that car, with ~780 bhp, went from 0-60 in 6.2 seconds.

Apr 25th 2007 3:47PM As I've recently discovered, the addresses listed on credit reports rarely match the current address of the credit report subject. One of my own reports still says I live in an apartment I moved out of . . . in 1999.
Super-Rare Ferrari roadster fetches $385k at Amelia auction {Autoblog}
Apr 24th 2007 2:25PM "Why they didn't use a mock-up like in the original Miami Vice series or at least a chopped-roof Daytona coupe is beyond reasoning."
Well, perhaps for the same reason Ferrari provided the Miami Vice production with two genuine Testarossas--they didn't want a cheap knockoff diluting their brand image. They could, however, have used a mock-up for riskier stunts as they did in MV, but I'm having a hard time imagining what kind of driving stunts there would be in a Barbra Streisand movie. . . .
Dodge shortens ad slogan. Grabs life, but not horns. {Autoblog}
Apr 12th 2007 1:38PM I would have preferred "Grab Life By The Balls", myself. But Dodge may have been afraid someone would take that a little too literally. . . .

Apr 10th 2007 2:53PM the roadster will get a cloth roof, rather than a folding hardtop, in an effort to cut down on costs
LOL. Yeah, on a car that costs nearly half-a-million dollars, cutting costs is a real concern!
Maybe they're looking to avoid adding weight, which would make sense on a supercar.

Feb 16th 2007 11:40AM I wonder if Pepto-Bismol would be interested. After all, it's pink. And it's kind of shaped like a suppository.
Uma Thurman in a yellow Lambo. Yeah, baby! {Autoblog}
Feb 12th 2007 2:11PM why a Lambo can't outrun a sled from the late '60s in a 20-mile chase.
Because Uma Thurman's driving it. Duh.
RR of the Day: AE86 goodness {Autoblog}
Dec 15th 2006 1:50PM I don't know about the rest of you, but most cars I've seen in drift racing aren't exactly candidates for the Concours d'Elegance. I wonder if it's an unwritten commandment among drift racers: "Thou shalt make thy ride look like a beater."
