More cars than ever require premium fuel {Autoblog}
Apr 17th 2008 4:50PM Rboyett: My 4cyl Mazda 626 asked for premium, and you had better damn well give it up. We have hills and mountains around here, car is fine for normal driving, couldn't climb an anthill on regular gas. Especially if you had passengers.

Apr 17th 2008 4:42PM Here goes the big displacement vs. small displacement arguement. Europeens brag about how high their HP ratings are for a given displacement engine compared to most American engines.
Well IDIOTS far and near listen up. In this life, there is no free ride. GM, Ford and that three-headed dog of a car company, can also tune their engines to within an inch of their lives. They will also require more gasoline, and in your case, you require the top-shelf "spirits".
A big engine with a modest tune is always better than a tightly wound buzz-bomb. It's more efficient, more reliable, more torque.
P.S. This is also why there is no pressing need for diesels in non-work vehicles here. We already have the torque you so badly crave.

Apr 15th 2008 1:53PM The ignorance that get posted here. American car companies have had enough experience with solid axle cars that they can tune them to handle quite well. I have seen many a solid axle 'stang hand out severe whippings to Porsches, RX-8s and Ferraris on road courses.
More important to making a corner is brakes, a lower center gravity, tires, and TALENT.
So, give it a rest.
By the Numbers: March 2008 {Autoblog}
Apr 1st 2008 7:47PM Everyone here have their own silly opinions. The reality is we are in a recession, millions of people are on the verge of losing their homes. You fools act as if none of this is related.
That said, here are GM's numbers by the model. In light of the present economic climate, the General is doing quite well.

REPORT: 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 not sold out, but bring your wallet {Autoblog}
Feb 8th 2008 1:54PM You've obviously never seen the Barrett Jackson auction. These cars will do fine. They're not going to do Malibu, Camry or Accord numbers, but they'll do fine.
Though, instead of doing this car, they should have spent the money on making the Demon a proper RWD MX-5/Solstice fighter.

Feb 3rd 2008 1:22PM Don't become one of the bunch of stupid people that post here. You're the last source GM needs to look to for advice on their product line.
First you all whine about US auto manufacturers making so many big trucks, then you whine about their attempts to make a little one.
Secondly you whine about GM not having a Hybrid, now that Hybrids are proven to be better than that wannabe GM Japanese car company's, you whine for diesels.
For domestic consumption GM makes :
3 Buicks
7 Cadillacs
16 Chevrolets
8 GMCs
4 Hummers
7 Pontiacs
5 Saturns
I find some of their models to my liking and some that I have no interest in, but understand that this is a business, and there are people who will be interested in models that I don't give a hoot about.
My point is they cannot only build cars that you or I like.
BTW: I like this thing whatever it is.

Jan 15th 2007 12:25PM How long will Porsche ride the 911? Same car since 1963.
These are going to be collectibles one day. Something no Passat or ES3xx will ever be.
That's the beauty of the Mustang, it's like a blank canvas. You make what you want of it.

Jan 15th 2007 11:49AM One sweet ride, I'd prefer the normally aspirated V8, can't stand the whine of compressors.
....and you idiots out there, don't start with your straight line only crap. This car has the same Ford Racing suspension that been running the pants off your M3s, 997 Porsches, and Ferraris in SCCA Trans AM . So you see, live axle cars can be tuned for cornering too.
